New Buick EV SUV.

According to Automotive News, Buick is getting an all-new compact SUV model ready for the North American market. One that could be built at the same plant as the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt.
Buick isn’t doing as well in the US as in China, but they still managed to sell almost 190,000 cars over here last year. I mean “SUVs” since the brand doesn’t offer any car models anymore. At least in North America. A brand-new PHEV mid-sized sedan, as well as a larger full-size EV sedan, are coming to the Chinese market.
The current Buick Envision is imported from China and faces a crazy 45% tariff. It seems only a matter of time until GM decides to cancel it for the US. It seems the Encore GX might only be replaced around 2029. Which could actually be the new EV the rumor is talking about. A new Bolt is scheduled to be introduced at the end of this year and sold next year as a 2027 model. It seems a new Buick model based on the Bolt would come a year or so later. As a 2028 or 2029 model.
Both the Envista and Encore GX have been very successful for Buick over here. Helping the brand to sell over 29% more cars this year so far. It seems an affordable EV (the 2027 Bolt is rumored to start at around $30,000), replacing the Ecore GX and Envision, would make sense.
