2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5. Amazing new pricing.

No big news for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 since it received a few improvements last year. A few new colors, a new charger, and that’s pretty much it. Except for the new, much lower pricing.

As you can see above, most versions are almost $10,000 less than before. Which more than makes up for the $7,500 federal incentive that just disappeared today.

Hyundai has been pushing the US-made Ioniq 5 with amazing lease deals lately. And it might not stop anytime soon since the car is now much cheaper than ever.

For $35,000, you can now get one of the best EVs out there. And the smaller battery is still good for a very decent 245 miles. With the Tesla port and a standard adapter, you can basically plug it anywhere. It is also about $5000 less than the new Tesla Model Y standard.

As a matter of fact, there are now 3 trims of the Ioniq 5 available for less than the new, cheaper Model Y.

I wonder if Kia will also lower the pricing of the 2026 EV6. That would mean the Kia EV3 would be much lower than previously thought when it finally comes over here. (If it ever does).

Thanks to a price war, we could see many more sub-$35,000 EVs in the US very soon.

  1. Good for KIA. Elon kept acting like Tesla couldn’t do it, therefore no one could. Well… maybe they Tesla can’t, but others will. I guess thats what happens when you build a structure that costs less from a manufacturing time perspective, but also is susceptible to fluctuating material and energy costs on top of already high capital cost for equipment. Oops. That wont weather a price war. He’s not the business genius he thinks he is. He’s just a very good thief of other peoples IP.
