Genesis GV90: More Interior Leaks Ahead of September Debut.

The Genesis GV90 will be introduced early September. Which is still a few months away, but we have already seen many spy shots, prototypes and illustrations for many months. And here are a few more.

The illustrations above are obviously based on the various spy photos we’ve seen. And they show a production car that is still very close to the Genesis Neon Concept from 2024. Of course, the interior will not be as futuristic. The new interior photos above show what the real thing will look like. At least the base version. Other trims will probably have the cheesy “quilted” leather shown in the images I posted a few days ago.

The new giant Genesis EV  will probably offered with a choice of 2 different sizes. Which is similar to what Cadillac is doing with the Cadillac Escalade IQ. Different sized prototypes have been spotted driving around over the past few months.

The GV90 is expected to ride on Hyundai’s next-generation EV platform. Which is reportedly more advanced and efficient than the current architecture used in models like the Hyundai Ioniq 9. Another feature expected to make production is the use of coach doors. A.K.A “Suicide doors”. These were prominently featured on the Neolun concept and would add a level of exclusivity rarely seen outside ultra-luxury brands.

Early expectations point to a generous driving range. And that would really have to be over 400 miles to even be competitive. Considering the Escalade IQ’s range of over 460 miles.

One thing is already certain: the GV90 will not be cheap. Its main competitor in the U.S., the Cadillac Escalade IQ, starts at over $130,000, and Genesis is unlikely to undercut it significantly if it wants to position the GV90 as a true flagship.

  1. The seats of the existing Genesis gas SUVs look better than the brown base (?) model seats of their EV flagship.

The interior Vince posted the other day looks leaps and bounds better thankfully. Genesis will gladly charge for it.

Not liking the early Maybach wheels or the excessive chrome around the windows. The IQ may not have to worry.
