2025 Nissan Maxima.
Last Updated:
Nissan has been talking about new EVs for years now. We have seen many concepts, for both the Nissan and Infiniti brands, but nothing concrete so far. The current Nissan Leaf came out in 2017 and the Aryia was delayed multiple times.
Unlike upcoming Toyota EV models with their next-generation platforms and batteries, the next-generation Nissan Maxima EV will be using the existing CMF-EV platform already used by the Nissan Aryia. Which is fine, today.
I’m not sure how competitive these batteries and that platform will be in 2 or 3 years. Things are currently moving very fast in the EV world and Nissan could be late and not offer the latest tech by the time the new sedan comes out.
At least things are becoming a bit more real and true all-new Nissan and Infiniti models could finally be on their way…
The problem with sharing a platform with the Ariya is that the platform itself just isn’t that competitive for the price. Everything is fine, but its not cheap either and you can get something better for that cash. They really needed to produce a Leaf that wasn’t an afterthought – $30-35k, but correct some of the Leafs major problems such as its charging and the lack of a heat pump. I just dont see an Ariya or Maxima slowing the bleed from Nissan. Ghosn really bled that company dry and now they have nothing to work with.
No one wants evs. Idk why you guys keep posting this garbage about evs. They aren’t going to last. They are not affordable and to expensive to fix. You will literally keep many from being able to drive
Nissan took over 3 years to deliver their Ariya, and, it is 3 year old technology. $60k for an electric Murano-looking SUV. Also, Nissan has annoying beeps that go off everytime you change a lane when using Driver Assist. No way to disable. So, why wait for a 2025 Maxima EV if it will look bland like a Sentra, with dated technology? When I looked at the Ariya, I knew more than the salesperson. Unimpressed.
