2025 Audi A5.
Last Updated:
Audi has just released a teaser for their new A5 wagon. (Called Avant).
The new A5 will replace the car we currently know as the Audi A4. The new model will be available as the wagon pictured above and a hatchback sedan (Sportback). From now on, Audi will use odd numbers for all their new ICE models. That also means the next-generation Audi A6 will become the next Audi A7.
Even numbers will be used for EVs, like the upcoming A6 e-Tron which will also be available in Avant or Sportback body styles.
The new A5 will be unveiled in just a few days on July 16th. While the A6 e-Tron will follow soon after at the end of this month. A new Q5 SUV will also be introduced this fall.
This is quite a year for Audi since they’ve also just introduced the new Q6 e-Tron recently. Their plan is to introduce a total of 20 new models in 2024 and 2025.
Sales of the Audi A4 in the US have been less than impressive over the past few years. With only 13,369 of them sold last year. And fewer than 5000 so far this year. That’s less than half the BMW 3 series numbers.
I wonder if they’ll even bother to bring its new A5 replacement over here. They might just skip it and only bring us the new A6 e-Tron.
We’ll see…
