2026 Toyota RAV-4.

Last Updated:

A new Toyota RAV-4 is just around the corner. It will be new for the 2026 model year and we might see it before the end of 2024. Even possibly at the Los Angeles auto show next month. This is where Toyota has already introduced the new Prius and Camry in the past couple of years.

We really don’t know anything about the new RAV-4. Except for a few words from some company execs who mentioned a few months ago, the new model will not deviate much from the current formula. Which is expected considering the huge success of the current generation.

There have been very strong rumors about the Hybrid powertrain becoming standard, just like the 2025 Camry. Except the RAV-4 will retain the PHEV option.

The illustrations above show what people think the new RAV-4 will look like. If we get an all-new design that is. Toyota could still pull “a 2025 Camry” on us and just serve a refresh for the new year.

The top illustrations look quite realistic and very influenced by the current design. A very timid evolution of the recurrent model, which seems realistic.

The second one just looks a bit crazy. As it seems very unlikely Toyota would morph the RAV-4 into a 1980s science fiction film prop.

Number 3 looks pretty horrible and that could be a nightmare scenario for a new RAV-4.

The 4th illustration looks very nice. And quite realistic showing a very tame and boring reimagining of the current design.

The one underneath looks like a yellow Tonka Toy designed by a 9-year-old.

The bottom one is actually my favorite. It seems influenced by the new Crown Signia wagon and that shape could work well for the new RAV-4.

What do you think?
