• 2006 Mercedes B Class

This is a shot of the production version of the new B class heading for the US. Engine will be the 1.8 Liter from the C class coupe, without a supercharger (that might come later). And it should start at around $25 000. Effectively replacing the C class coupe in the US lineup. Unfortunately…

  • Saturn Aura

Just when you thought Saturn was already a “has been ” brand, they come up with this: a real contender to the Camry and Accord. That’s what every US car maker has been trying to do for decades! The previous L Series was old looking as soon as it came out. This is based on… Continue reading Saturn Aura

  • Saturn SKY

I can’t believe what is happening at GM. Good looking cars galore! The Sky is based on the Pontiac Solstice and will be sold in Europe as the new Opel GT. It is great to see that they can come up with completely different looking cars from the same platform. Even the interiors! This one… Continue reading Saturn SKY

  • 2.5Liter Jetta

The VW executive introducing the all new Jetta at the L.A Auto show insisted on the fact that this is a “driver’s car”. That “VW’s are not like other cars, they are for people who enjoy driving, not lkit most other brands”. Well, 10 minutes later, we got the exact same BS speech from the… Continue reading 2.5Liter Jetta

  • Pontiacs in Los Angeles

As you can see, I think the Pontiac brand was the bright spot of the Los Angeles auto show. This G6 Coupe looks better than almost any other US cars. The only problem it might have (besides a crappy image) is the competition from the G6 convertible. Too bad we still have to wait untile… Continue reading Pontiacs in Los Angeles

  • L.A Auto show. Mustang convertible

Why did they have to use one of the chubby loosers from last’years American Idol to introduce one of the coolest cars out there??? And the Ford guy kept plugging her album! Where is Steve Mc Queen’s son when you need him…

  • L.A Auto show. Pontiac G6

The Pontiac G6 convertible looks as good in the flesh as the pictures suggest. The top is made by Karmann. The Karmann people told me they are working on “a couple” of other US models with hardtops. That means the next Sebring for sure. Chrysler will have no choice. It is just too bad that… Continue reading L.A Auto show. Pontiac G6

  • 2006 Chevrolet Impala

The current Impala seems to be the “poor thing” of the automotive industry. It’s ugly, cheap looking with a horrible interior. But I must say (after a drive in a Canadian Taxi cab), it is pretty quiet and solid. That’s about it… The new one looks much better. And more upscale. I must say, it… Continue reading 2006 Chevrolet Impala

  • 2006 Pontiac Torrent

Still.. Not everything is well at GM. They are still regadging the same cars under 2 or 3 brands in order to save some cash. This “all new” Torrent is nothing else than a Chevy Equinox with a new front end, and a couple of new trims.. That’s sad..

  • G6 Hardtop convertible

The jewel of the G6 family, is this hardtop convertible. Great looking with the top up or down. With 4 seats and a decent trunk, this could very well replace a family sedan in many cases. If quality and reliability are there, Pontiac has a winner.

  • Mustang Convertible

Again. A straight convertible. But a good looking one. With the same engines as the coupe. Check out AmericanMuscle’s Mustang Suspension page forquality aftermarket upgrades.

  • 2006 Pontiac G6 Coupe

The first real competition to the Accord coupe, or even the Toyota Solara comes from this G6 Coupe from Pontiac. Not futuristic, but very modern looking. And it should be very roomy as well. Let’s hope they offer the fabulous glass roof they have on the sedan. But this is not a sport coupe. Even… Continue reading 2006 Pontiac G6 Coupe

  • The REAL Dodge Chargers

These are what Dodge proudly called the Charger! These cars were far from what they are now trying to pass as the all new 2006 Charger. Being a 4 door could be OK. But it should look sporty, and sleek. At least! Not like the sedan version of a wagon, which it is now… At… Continue reading The REAL Dodge Chargers

  • 2006 Dodge Charger

That’s it…. And it is one ugly, clumbsy looking beast. Basically, just a straight sedan version of the Magnum. With a little more slant on the back window, and an even uglier grille. Worst of all, they use the name Charger! There is just notheing here that says 2006. Or even 1986 for that matter…… Continue reading 2006 Dodge Charger

  • 2006 Kia Rio

There it is, the all new 2006 Rio from Kia. Maybe the cheapest car in the US market today. The 2005 model starts at just under $10000! I don’t really get Kia though.. They have another car that is just about $2000 more than this one. How many cheap cars can you offer? The 2006… Continue reading 2006 Kia Rio

  • 2006 Zephyr, part2

Well, it doesn’t get prettier. I don’t want to beat a dead horse but I will. What the Hell happened between the “concept” and the production car??? The concept didn’t look that amazing anyway, very nice, but not that fantastic. But it does now that you see the production car! That thing looks like it… Continue reading 2006 Zephyr, part2

  • The Chinese are coming!!!!

That’s right!! Chinese cars are scheduled to enter the US market at the end of 2006! And good old Malcom Bricklin is responsible for it. The 1st brand will be Chery. A weird, dorky name for the US market. Bricklin wants to sell a whole line of cars. Including compacts and mid sized sedans, as… Continue reading The Chinese are coming!!!!

  • Even more 2006 Passat

These pictures aren’t great, but they show new angles. And the Passat still doesn’t look that good either… Hard to tell if it is a truly modern design. Or just crap… What does look like crap, is the interior with the optional wood finish. There’s so much wood in there, it looks like a “wannna… Continue reading Even more 2006 Passat
