2025 Buick Enclave.

Last Updated:

So far, it looks like the new 2025 Buick Enclave could end up being a major disappointment. After 2 really nice-looking generations, the 3rd one looks like a big step backward. At least on these spy shots.

The prototype does look like a lower-end model with pretty small wheels. Still, that profile is just bad. The huge black plastic trim on the C-pillar looks pretty ghastly. Not only does it look terrible next to the official sketch GM released a few days ago, which is normal since you know, it’s a design sketch.. But it looks bad next to the current generation. And especially dreadful next top the illustration I posted last year (bottom pic)

The current Enclave is much more pleasant and unique. While the new one looks like it could be anything except a modern Buick. Some sort of VW Atlas/Toyota Grand Highlander Frankenstein monster.

So far it seems both the new Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia look much better than the Buick. Which is a bit sad.

Let’s just get down on our knees and pray to the Gods that these photos are distorted and the real thing looks better. Much better.

Are you as disappointed as I am?

  1. Not sure what some of you guys are expecting. I think it looks decent enough for it’s target market – people that buy these aren’t looking for a sexy sportscar. I think the biggest news here is that all three of these GM crossovers look completely different, both inside and out. This is how it should always be.

  2. Omg Buick could have had something like that sketch & instead went for this? Based on how well the new Envista came out I had high hopes. It reminds me of those mini vans GM did where they tried to make them more SUV looking.

  3. I agree, It looks terrible compared to the past ones. Just saw on a GM site that the Traverse, Acadia and Enclave all share the SAME doors, OMG! So 1980’s GM 🙁
    Traverse and Acadia look great!

  4. As an owner of two Buick Enclaves, I think it looks very elegant. Can’t wait to check it out and drive one.

  5. The current Enclave must have gotten knocked for not looking large enough, even though it is. This new one looks massive. Yeah it looks terrible, but all recent Buicks have looked terrible (Envista, Electra E5). Buick used to have the best looking GM vehicles, but i guess that torch got passed to Chevy.

  6. It looks like one of those anonymous future vehicles that they make out of current vehicles for the movies.

  7. I think it looks fine, and, as Vince says, this is the lowest trim level, the so-called Preferred trim and without any chrome badging. Given how concept sketches are often exaggerated, it’s right in line with what was shown by GM. Wait to see it in Avenir trim in either White Frost Tricoat or Moonstone Gray Metallic!

  8. I’d like to see how it looks with a few small changes:
    -blacked out A-pillars,
-chrome strip at just the top of the daylight opening and not the bottom
-chrome strip on lower tail light edge
