2025 Buick Enclave.
Last Updated:
Buick just released a few official teasers for the all-new 2025 Buick Enclave SUV.
Just like its cousins, the Chevrolet Traverse and the GMC Acadia, the Buick Enclave will have an all-new design. While I think the current model is still a very nice-looking SUV, the new one will adopt Buick’s new front end we just saw in the revised Encore GX and the new Envista.
The official sketches above show a very angular design, however, the prototype caught testing a few months ago seems a lot softer. So did the illustration I posted last year. (bottom pic).
GM did a great job designing the new 2024 Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia, and I am sure the new Enclave will look great inside and out. The only downside will be the lack of a smooth V6, which will be replaced by the same 2.5 Liter Turbo used in the 2024 Traverse and Acadia. It’s hard to say how smooth and quiet it will be. The 2.7 Liter Turbo I just drove in the Cadillac CT4 was smooth and quiet 90 % of the time, but still, not quite like a good V6.
Some of the Enclave competition has moved on to a large 4-cylinder Turbo engine, like the new Toyota grand Highlander. But others, like Nissan/Infiniti, and Honda/Acura are keeping their smooth and quiet V6 for their large SUVs. And GM still has no hybrid to offer. (Although it is actually offering a Traverse Hybrid in China)
At least, I am sure the new Enclave will look 100 times better than the sad-looking new Lexus TX. While sitting inside at the Auto Show, I just couldn’t believe how this could ever pass for a luxury SUV. It’s actually quite shocking how “unluxurious” its interior is.
I’ve always really liked the Buick Enclave and actually cannot wait to see what Buick did for the 2025 model. Especially inside…
Thank you for sharing this information, Vince! I think you beat everybody else by showing these GM teasers. While I wish the new 2025 Buick Enclave looked as sexy as your illustration, I suspect it will be closer to the third image here, the side-shot showing much design detail. I want this to be our new vehicle, though the 4-cylinder turbo remains a question for me. (I’m not real crazy about the front end of the 2024 Enclave, but it does have a V-6.)
The official teasers and sketches look great, but that camo’ed spy shot does not look particularly great. Buick needs to refresh their entire lineup to help shed their old person image. Having a halo car would be great, like the Wildcat concept they’ve already shown.
