2025 Kia K8.

Last Updated:

The new 2025 Kia K8 luxury sedan looks very modern. However, this is not an all-new model but a refresh of the current Kia K8 we first saw in April 2021.

Kia did a fantastic job updating the design, and it really doesn’t look too weird and does fit the existing body style. The new front end is of course inspired by the Kia EV9 EV. Although by now, all these “EV9-inspired” front-end designs have started looking a bit different, cleaner, and more modern than the original EV9 design.

Just like the exterior, the interior is not all-new. The console has been redesigned and it now looks a lot like the one in the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe. The lower part of the dashboard is also new and replaced the odd-looking wood trim. Unfortunately, the screen seems to be the same as in all other recent Hyundai/Kia products and not as good-looking as before. The whole thing is cleaner but also more generic…

2.5 Liter 4 cylinder or 3.5 Liter V6 are offered… As well as a 1.6 Liter Hybrid option. Which basically matches many current larger Hyundai/Kia models.

This is of course not offered in the US since the good old Kia Cadenza was killed back in the US in 2020.

  1. Vince, is it just my eyes or does this K8 look a bit raised? Not like SUV level, but more than usual sedans. I like that and wish Honda would do the same with the Accord. Toyota did it with the Crown but that car is just a lot of rolling ugly.
