Chrysler Imperial.

While the big Chrysler Imperial isn’t making a comeback anytime soon, we can still imagine what a new one for the 21st century could look like.
One that looks as decadent as they used to. With a giant chrome that is trying hard to compete with Cadillac and Lincoln. And least, used to…
Chrysler’s CEO has already mentioned they are working on a brand new SUV based on the Jeep Wagoneer EV. And maybe, just maybe, a new sedan and even a coupe. However, she also mentioned that all-new Chrysler designs would be based on the crazy futuristic Halcyon concept. That means no return to a classic design with a giant chrome grille.
In a world of bigger and bigger SUVs, a large luxury sedan wouldn’t be out of place at all. The new 2025 Dodge Charger EV is over 206 inches long. Which is about the same as a Mercedes S-Class. Just adding a few inches would produce one impressive-looking sedan. One that could still be much more affordable than its competition from Germany. A large luxury STLA-based EV sedan competing with the Lucid Air, Mercedes EQS, and BMW i7. For less…
I’ve posted a few illustrations showing future large Cadillac and Lincoln sedans, but a Chrysler would have to be less expensive, just like Chryslers are supposed to be. The brand does have quite a glorious past and I think it’s time to use some of it for inspiration for a few future models.
Meanwhile, we’ll probably never see one of these again. And if we ever see another Chrysler Imperial, it will probably be a huge SUV competing with the Cadillac Escalade, and not a real sedan…
They need to bring back the Chrysler imperial because that back in the days Chrysler where always a head of it’s time innovative and cutting edge and nothing didn’t beat it from either Cadillac or Lincoln and both elegance and power and it’s been way to long and it’s time to make a decision come back because Chrysler do not have a luxury car at this time and it’s time for a come back for not only for the older generation and the one whom remember back in the 50s 60s and 70s but for the next generation as well
Cadillac nor Lincoln seem to be successful in their bids to compete in the luxury sedan segment. Lincoln by virtue of its absence. Maybe now would be a great time for Chrysler to bring back the Imperial in such a way that it would challenge the German vehicles in the luxury sedan segment and bring notice to and enhance the prestige of its products. In view of Imperial’s valiant but failed (in terms of sales only imo) efforts to compete with Cadillac and Lincoln back in the day, it would be great to see Imperial succeed now where C and L are failing.
The Imperial was always a sales laggard to Cadillac and Lincoln. But they were a great car, and had as much status as they did. They were just as expensive too, comparatively equipped.
Please bring back the Imperial. I love the look of the one I saw online with the suicide doors. What a beauty.
