2027 Hyundai Elantra N.

We already know a brand new Hyundai Elantra is comig late this year or early next year. Th eillustrsation above shows what the sportier “N” trim could look like. And it’s probably close to the real thing. Wings, side skirts, red trim all over. It’s all there. All the stuff that says “sporty”…

Just a few months ago, the “N” trim of the current Elantra sedan saw a 300% jump in sale numbers. Which is pretty impressive for a trim that really isn’t for everyone. Starting around around $34,500, it is obviously the most expensive trim of the Hyundai Elantra. And not everyone looking for a compact sedan needs or even wants 279HP. the “N” is also very expensive to lease at $464 a month.

The next-generation Hyundai sedan is rumored to be a bit of a retro-futuristic design. As far as we can see on this camouflaged prototype, that very flat roof could point to something a bit retro. (Something the illustration doesn’t truly show.) And again, unfortunately, the next Elantra will be another fake hatchback. A fast back car with a small, regular trunk opening. So far, the new design, or what we can see of it under all that camouflage, has been pretty controversial.

The current generation Hyundai Elantra came out back in 2020. It received a “mid-cycle facelift” about 2 years ago. The new generation is rumored to come sometime next year.

Over the years, the Elantra has become and very modern-looking sedan. There is now a rumor from Korea about the next generation’s design being influenced by some past models. Which I really hope won’t happen. I really cannot think of a super great-looking Elantra from many generations ago. The Elantra has evolved into a very nice-looking modern sedan. It wasn’t that long ago.

The Elantra will be a very important car for Hyundai since, by that time, the Sonata could be gone. And will not be replaced, at least in the US. The new Elantra could even grow a little bit in order to replace both models. It will probably also end up being Hyundai’s last ICE sedan. Since they are one of the most aggressive EV brands in the world, they already offer an almost full portfolio of electric models.

The new car is also rumored to keep the current generation’s platform, which makes sense. It’s been a trend for the past couple of years for most manufacturers who have been spending most of their R&D money on EVs.

  1. I don’t mean no harm. But the Elantra from the era between 2011 and 2016 were 100 times way better than this is don’t know what this is. I rather get the new kia k4 hatchback over this crap.
