That’s right. The good old Honda Legend lives. Everywhere except the US. Because here, expensive Hondas are sold through Acura. And these geniuses deciced that letters like RL or RSX have more meaning than actual names, like Legend and Integra. Go figure… But the new legend is exactly the same car as the US only… Continue reading 2005 Honda Legend !
More on the new SAABS !
With the new sedan I was talking about earlier, Saab has the intention to offer a Wagon, as well as this fantastic looking hatchback sedan! If the production cars could only look half as good as these, SAAB could be back!
Farewell Axiom….
That’s right, we have to say good bye to the cool looking Isuzu Axiom. That’s too bad really. Isuzu was never able to find a way to sell it… Just a few years ago, it started the trend of good looking SUVs. The new breed, the ones that don’t look like a brick. The Axiom… Continue reading Farewell Axiom….
New SAABS !!!!
Saab made a press presentation a while ago, where they showed this illustration of their next top of the line model. Which is now the aging, and very conservative 9.5. Well… These look nothing like the 9.5. But they are, after all illustraions created to make them look good. To tell us that the company… Continue reading New SAABS !!!!
Babs Muller!!!
Babs Muller is our favorite girl. My roommate Phil Schwartzetti and I have know Babs for many years. Maybe even too many… Babs was Phil’s brother’s girlfriend for a while. It’s actually a long, somewhat sick and pathetic story. But everything you want to know (and everything you don’t) about Babs is here: Don’t say… Continue reading Babs Muller!!!
New Saab 9-3 Allroad/Wagon
This wagon based on the Saab 9-3 will be available within a year. But they won’t call it a wagon. They’ll give it a “in” name like Sportwagon, Sporthatch or Allroad. Whatever they call it, it’s a wagon. And 4 wheel drive will be available. They might even offer their all new Turbo V6 with… Continue reading New Saab 9-3 Allroad/Wagon
2004 Holden Torana concept
That Australian concept looks pretty close to production to me. Except for maybe that huge glass top. Looks like it is based on that new rear wheel drive platform GM is working on. It will be used on a few of their brands around the world. They showed us this platform first, a couple of… Continue reading 2004 Holden Torana concept
New Peugeot 1007
There were quite a few interresting new cars at the Paris auto show last month. One of them was the all new 1007. It actually was introduced exactly 2 years ago as a concept car. And the production model is about the same. It took them a while… At about the size of a Mini… Continue reading New Peugeot 1007
Future Cadillacs
This is what the “small Cadillac” model might look like. It is still a couple of years away, and is mainly designed for the European market. Well… So they say. Small, overpriced cars from Europe like the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 or Mercedes C Class are very popular over here. So you know Cadillac… Continue reading Future Cadillacs
2006 Dodge Charger
Well… Isn’t that a shame. Another legendary name is being flushed down the toilets! This new Charger is nothing more than a Chrysler 300C, with a different nose, and a weird, ungainy rear treatment. That new back end consists of a more horizontal rear window. Which will, no doubt, decrease rear headroom. It is supposed… Continue reading 2006 Dodge Charger
2006 Citroen C6
It took them long enough! Citroen showed a really amazing looking concept car in 1999 called the Lignage. That was supposed to become their new “top-of-the-line” car. Here we are, in late 2004, and that car is still almost a year away! But they’ve been showing it to “select’ dealers in Europe for over a… Continue reading 2006 Citroen C6
2006 Sentra should look like:
Save the cash and just bring the Renault Megane design over here! Whether it is a hatch, or the more conservative trunk design, this car looks better and sportier than the Nissan Tiida! They just need to “body color” the bumpers, and build it in the US. And look!!! They already have the hardtop convertible… Continue reading 2006 Sentra should look like:
2006 Nissan Sentra? Part 2
Interresting how the addition of a trunk, can turn a modern, somewhat interesting design, into a heavy, blocky, boring and basically ugly car… Let’s hope our Sentra doesn’t look like that!
2006 Nissan Sentra???
The all new Nissan Tiida ,for the Japanese market, might just be very close to what we’ll get as the new Sentra in the US. The addition of a regular trunk (or maybe not) might actually be the only major change. Let’s hope they have enough guts and try to compete with the boring Civics… Continue reading 2006 Nissan Sentra???
2006 Mercedes M Class
From Germany we get an early look at the next M Class. Nothing really new here. It does look better than the previous one, but that’s not saying much… Let’s hope they can finally get the quality/reliability problems under control. They should be ashamed of themselves with the current model’s reputation. Still made in the… Continue reading 2006 Mercedes M Class
Peugeot 407
About the same size as a Passat, that new Peugeot seems to have what it takes to make it over here. Even the choice of engines is similar to what we get. A 2.2Liter with 160hp, or a 3.0Liter V6 with 211hp. But Nooooo.. Peugeot is still “thinking about re-entering the US market”. So don’t… Continue reading Peugeot 407
The GIUGIARO GIRLS, part 2
Nothing to say really… Except, that now,the maestro also designs sneakers for kids…
2006 Miata Part2
Here are 2 more shots of what the next Miata might look like. Latelly, some prototypes have been spoted in Europe, undergoing some testing. And they seem to look like an updated version of the current design. Which itself, was an “updated’ version of the previous design! Will fear dictate the new design direction? Let’s… Continue reading 2006 Miata Part2
Citroen C4
Another cool car we can’t get. Citroen is own by Peugeot, and these guys distroyed their good name in the US in the 80’s by selling pretty crappy cars. Most of them used to only retain about 45% of their value after the 1st year of ownership. And they gave up the US market. They… Continue reading Citroen C4
2006 Hyundai Sonata. Part 2…
Well. It looks much better on these pictures. Still not very modern, still a mix of Accord/Camry/Audi. But at least it doesn’t seem to look cheap. Actually a very nice mainstream car. Not really worse than the Accord. And miles ahead of the ugly and misguided Malibu.
