That looks very nice, although not very original by European standards.Peugeot and Renault have been putting out similar models for years. But it’s big news to us. The only 4 seat hard top convertible under $30000 in the US!Unlike the way over priced $35000 Volvo C70.. And the Pontiac G6 seems to have lots of… Continue reading VW Eos
Skoda Yeti (again)
This time the small Skoda concept seems closer to production. And they are showing this cool 2 door convertible version. The curves of the German models help compensate for the squared design .
Chrysler 300 Diesel
That’s right , Diesel!!!But just for Europe. They manage to install the Mercedes 3.0 Diesel engine in there. Not too hard, the 300 being based on the old E class frame. And that engine produces 218hp!That would be a welcome addition over here! What are they waiting for?
BMW Z4 Coupe
It didn’t sell the last time (The Z3 coupe) and I don’t think another overpriced, overpowered weird looking 2 seater from BMW is such a genius idea….
Jeep Compass & Patriot
Nothing new. We saw these before kind of…It’s amazing that Chrysler decided to use such facke looking photos as official press material. The Compass is Jeeps’s version of the Mitsubishi based Dodge Caliber. As for the Patriot, who the Hell knows! It looks way to close th the Liberty to me…
Smart Crosstown
So far it is called a concept. But it doesn’t look as modern as the production Smart! It is a bit longer, and they claim it has been designed with US ragulations in mind.So maybe it is a preview of the US version of the next Fourtwo. I sure hope not. This looks like a caricature… Continue reading Smart Crosstown
1976…
Yes, 1976. Sometimes, I miss it a lot. What do we really need that wasn’t there back in 1976.Cars were big a quiet, gas was still almost cheap. And these giants looked like no other cars anywhere.American cars were not afraid of looking, well.. American.Their looks were closer to architectural designs that car designs. Almost… Continue reading 1976…
Nissan/Infiniti GTR
This new illustration seems to me a bit more realistic than the previous one.And quite a bit more aggressive. That’s what that car is supposed to be anyway… Again, based on the next G35 Coupe.
Nissan/Infiniti GTR

2006 Toyota Prius
Small changes for the new year. The front lights have been redesigned. I have no idea why…And the interior is now available with factory leather. But wait! it’s not leather! It is some kind of new man made material. And don’t call it Vinyl or Leatherette either!
2006/7 Audi TT
These also come to us from Germany. But I am not sure what they are, illustrations od official pictures. Some areas, like the shadows and the 4 seater proportions, make them look a bit fake. But car makers do use Photoshop in their official and brochure pictures anyway. Where they combine the car into a different background. So… Continue reading 2006/7 Audi TT
BMW X6?
That is what these German illustrations are supposed to represent. I cannot believe that BMW would be stupid enough to base a sport sedan off an SUV platform. So I really do not think this thing would ever see the light of day. But who would have thought about a BMW SUV in the 1st… Continue reading BMW X6?
2006 Honda Pilot
Nothing new… But this time it’s official.Goes to show you the spy shot I posted a while ago was the real thing. They just make it look more like their Pick Up truck, in case anyone thought this was a car (which it is) . Or not macho enough. The whole thing has always been really… Continue reading 2006 Honda Pilot
Karmann SUC Concept
I usually wouldn’t care much for this, a weird , disturbing and ugly convertible based on a SUV.But this is based on the next BMW X5. So I just wonder if , somewhere, it gives us a few hints about the BMW design…The interior even has a version of the horrible iDrive. Is it the rear… Continue reading Karmann SUC Concept
2006 BMW X3
One of the cheapest and worse looking SUVs on the market is getting a few, much needed, improvements for the new year. Gone is the cheap looking black plastic all over the bumpers. It made it look about as expensive as a base model 1985 Toyota Tercel…The black stuff you see here is just camouflage and… Continue reading 2006 BMW X3
2006 Volvo C30
Also from inside the design center, this really looks to be the upcoming “small Volvo”, the S30.A 2 door hatchback based on the S40 sedan. This should be out early next year. From that picture, it doesn’t look as good as the Concept they showed us a few years ago. So let’s hope this IS NOT… Continue reading 2006 Volvo C30
Volvo S80
This picture was taken inside the Volvo design center (one of them). It looks like the next S80 to me. It does matches the spy shots we’ve now seen for weeks, and the fact that Volvo said the design would be an evolution of the current look.New engines should include an all new inline 6, and… Continue reading Volvo S80
2007 Camry Hybrid
Toyota announced that the Hybrid version of the Camry will use a 4 cylinder engine. That’s great news!Who needs a 255hp Honda Accord with almost $4 a gallon gas?!?! Toyota made the right decision about the Camry. People in the market for a hybrid want better mileage, not more power. So the Accord gets 30mpg. The Prius… Continue reading 2007 Camry Hybrid
2006 Ford C-Max
Ths C-max is getting a new front end for next year, (To make it look more like the upcoming D-max) but I am not sure if this is an actual picture or just an illustration. It looks pretty real to me, and it does match the spy shots I’ve seen, that all I can say.As far… Continue reading 2006 Ford C-Max
Suzuki D Compact
A weird name for a cute design. And the good news is that it should make it over here. It’ll create a market for “smaller and cheaper SUVs than RAV4” in the US. With all the so called compact SUVs getting bigger and bigger with every redesign…And I think quite a few people are ready for… Continue reading Suzuki D Compact
