Buick Electra-L & Electra-LT concepts.

Last Updated:

We’ve seen a few photos of the Buick Electra-L concept a few weeks ago. And GM released a few more recently.

The Buick EV sedan concept is a great-looking sedan. But also, one that reminds me a lot of many other Chinese market EVs we’ve seen recently. Competition is extreme over there and things move very quickly. So quickly that a stunning car like this doesn’t seem all new anymore.

The interior is also great, but Buick has been giving us many very nice interiors lately, and this now looks like it could almost be a production car.

This is of course Buick‘s first Ulrium-based sedan. And it will probably become a production model sometime next year. Probably one for the Chinese market where sedans are still very popular. While Buick is delaying its Ultium models in the US, China has been getting a few Ultium-based cars already. Like the Electra E5 and especially the great-looking Electra E4. The Electra E4 was based on the Electra-X concept and stated very close to that design. Let’s hope the same thing will happen to the upcoming new Buick EV sedan…

The Electra-LT wagon concept is even better looking.

It seems Buick even wants to compete in the wagon business, at least in China. Where electric wagons are already available from Nio and Neta. With more to come.

Maybe I’m just a crazily old chunk of coal, but I really think something like this would find takers in North America. This is a fantastic design and to me looks even better than the new Audi A6 e-Tron Avant.
