All new Kia Sorento
It probably will be really nice. The current one s still decent looking. With a surprisingly good interior. But I wonder about the timing. Even though this will now be car based, gas milage won’t be that great.Gas will be $5 a gallon by the time it is out in the US. Good luck. The… Continue reading All new Kia Sorento

Saab 9.3 Diesel Convertible test drive
I have been driving the Saab convertible for a couple of days now.So I have a few early comments. It is a very solid car. With a very smooth ride. The steering is a bit light, but precise. And also a bit too sensitive to roads irregularities. The GM transmission is as usual very smooth and… Continue reading Saab 9.3 Diesel Convertible test drive

Electric Mini
That sounds like a great idea. Right? But wait. This is only for California. And they will lease only 490 of them. 10 more will be used to show off. I can only imagine the crazy monthly payment the lucky few will have to pay for that car. Saving gas but for sure not saving… Continue reading Electric Mini

New Citroen C3 Picasso
I guess Citroen owns the Picasso name because they seem to name any small minivan they built after the genius painter. This is pretty cool looking. Seems roomy too. But there is really no hope for Citroen in the US any time soon.

VW Gol anyone?
Besides the cheesy Brazilian ads with a weird 62 year old Stallone complete with face lift and plugs (I just know what I read…), the Gol could make a good sub Rabbit car in te US.Why not??? What do you think?

Will 55 MPH be back???
Republican senator John Warner of Virginia is considering asking congress to impose a national speed limit of 55 mph. Again.Just like in 1974. I must say, I have been trying it for the past couple of days myself. Just to see. And there is a noticeable benefit in MPG. Would that really make a difference?… Continue reading Will 55 MPH be back???

2009 Kia Forte
The Spectra replacement is looking good.I guess it’s a matter of a few days before we see the whole car officially, including interior pictures. So far, this European design does look great. maybe even better than any other small sedan in its class.

The future is here.
And it’s a little bit scary. Even Blade Runner could really see this coming. The Chinese “anti terror” police is using Segways. At least in a recent exercise. I just wonder if the Segways are real or cheap Chinese copies….

One cool “Week End car cartoon”
Cartoons are the best! And cartoons about cars are even better. You might know Kaz’s work form the famous “Underworld” comic strip. Part 1 is on top. ( Yes, that means Part 2 is on the bottom…) Click on the title for more of this Genius’s work.

2010 Toyota Prius
More illustrations of the next Prius. Pretty realistic.I wouldn’t be surprised if the real thing looks really close to this. We’ll know for sure in January.

2009 Ford Focus RS
Now that the Euro Focus will make it into the US, I wonder if we’ll also get this.I don’t think so. I just don’t think they would build this version in one of the US factories. And importing it here would be really expensive.
