Talking about the Solstice made me think about the Sky. Another super good looking car from GM. It might even be more striking than the Pontiac. It really looks like a show car. A smaller Corvette. Here is proof that a great design looks good in any color. This car might actually be the first cool… Continue reading 2007 Saturn Sky
V8 Pontiac Solstice
Car aftermarket wiz Mallett is offering a 400hp V8 engine in the Solstice for $38 000.You can even get a Turbo as an option. I love the Solstice, but I can’t see where I could drive a V8 compact car in the US…. I haven’t seen one Solstice yet!Not on the road anyway. Has anyone… Continue reading V8 Pontiac Solstice
2007 Escalade Interior
A slighty better view of the new Escalade new dashboard. At least, it looks like it is its own design. That’s a god move towards making the Escalade a “real” Cadillac. Instead of a “tahoe with chrome”.But from what I’ve seen of the exterior, that might be about it. Sure the front looks more like the… Continue reading 2007 Escalade Interior
2007 Hyundai Santa Fe Interior
It reminds me of these older BMW dashboard designs. With that “angled towards the driver” console. It was great then, and it is still a great idea now. Unfortunately for BMW, they’ve since decided a flat dash somehow made more sense… Good for Hyundai.
2007 Toyota Yaris
The Echo is dead, long live the Yaris. Available as a 3 a 5 door hatchback pretty much anywhere else around the world, except.. You guessed it: the US market. We’ll get the 3 door and this super conservative mini Corolla looking 4 door sedan. And that’s too bad. Maybe they’ll do what Ford did… Continue reading 2007 Toyota Yaris
2007 Peugeot 207
This is actually a pretty good picture of the upcoming 207. Not an illustration.Seems like just an evolution of the 206 design. But still ahead of most of the competition. Especially the rather boring German offerings. This is the current 206. Talking about the 207, they never put into production that cool little SUV concept… Continue reading 2007 Peugeot 207
Crazy camouflage…
It is getting out of hands.Prototypes driving around city streets now look like army tanks!I thought they were not supposed to be noticed. This screams “take a picture of me”. By the way, can you guess what car this is?
2007 Hundai Santa Fe
They’re making tons of them. already!Even thought they are not supposed to hit US dealers before March.
2007 Toyota RAV4
This seems to be the short wheel base version, mainly for Europe and Japan. But it gives a good idea of what the car looks like.. In red…A nice feature, that many others have too, is the rear seats that can move to either make more room for legs or cargo. Interior seems pretty modern too.… Continue reading 2007 Toyota RAV4
Not at SEMA…
These pictures are not form this week’s SEMA show in Las Vegas. But they come from the Paris Tuning Show. Who would have known….
2007 Cadillac Escalade interior
Just a very small teaser from a video promo. But it looks like it has a different interior than the new Chevy Tahoe. It would be a good thing. Just what Lincoln did with the Navigator. None of these trucks are my cup of tea. 12 MPG to carry a couple of young kids to pre-school… Continue reading 2007 Cadillac Escalade interior
Acura CSX Interior
It’s even worse inside! There seems to be no changes at all compared to the Honda Civic EX.But if people are stupid enought to pay extra for the badge on the steering wheel, more power to them… At least, they could add the leather and xenon options to the US models.
Citroen Pluriel Concept
Not sure what this is. The picture was taken during a photo shoot in Portugal. It looks like a concept pased and inspired by the Pluriel. But it couldn’t be the Pluriel replacement yet. So, maybe this ‘ll be around at auto shows in Europe soon…
2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
Just a couple more pictures before we get official stuff. The last one is actually the 1st offical picture from Hyundai.
Fiat Sedici SUV
I posted on this before. But these are new and better pictures of the new Fiat SUV.It is based on the Suzuki compact SUV. The front end has been redesigned. We won’t get the Fiat, but we should get its Suzuki twin brother. It really is a nice design…
Buick Lucerne
Is it me, or these new pictures of the Buick Lucerne look really good.Am I getting old?I think from these angles the Lucerne has an almost muscular presence I never noticed before. The V8 model starts at under $32 000 and has very few options. That could become much less once incentives kick in.It could… Continue reading Buick Lucerne
2007 Acura CSX
That’s right, Acura. For Canada only. The CSX replaces the EL, which was the Acura version of the previous Civic sedan. It is a nice looking car, with options like leather, heated seats and xenon headlights. But does it really fool anyone??? ( I guess so, the previous one was quite popular…) Why even bother with this.… Continue reading 2007 Acura CSX
2007 Hyundai Accent Hatch.
A few more angles of the boring little car from Hyundai.Looks like the added a fake aluminum finish on the dash. A “sporty” touch for those who want a 2 door car? Like I said before, the competition in Europe looks much, much better than this. And I don’t think it’ll be much cheaper than… Continue reading 2007 Hyundai Accent Hatch.
2007 Toyota Corolla
Just one more picture of the European Corrola testing in Belgium. If you look closely, you can see the top of the dashboard. With the 2 “scoops” above the instruments. This matches the interior illustration I posted here a few days ago.
Volvo T6 Roadster
Not all new, but it is back at the Las Vegas SEMA show this year.Still a nice looking design. A strange refined look on the roadster concept. I do like the retro steering wheel. A “Volvo Roadster”… That almost sounds as weird as a “Porsche SUV’. Doesn’t it?
