• Brilliance FRV

One more decent looking small Chinese car.Nothing luxurious, but it sure matches the looks of most other cars in the market. And the specs are OK: 1.8 Liter Turbo with 170hp.On sale in China in a few months.

  • Amazing.

yes, it is realNo, it isn’t photoshoped. The picture tells it all; Segway meets the motorycle.Looks like the stuff from Science Fiction movies. Find out more by clicking on the title.

  • 2009 US Mazda6

And it looks pretty stunning. This is really much better looking than any of the Japanese competition. Engines are the expected 2.5 Liter and 3.7 Liter V6.The design is a bit different from the Euro model. It now looks like a cross between a hatch and a sedan. Even though it keeps a regular sedan trunk.… Continue reading 2009 US Mazda6

  • Opel Insignia coupe and wagon

Sure, why not.The previous Opel mid sized was offered as a wagon. And they are considering a coupe. What would be really nice, is Saturn versions of all these.Offering more than Honda or Toyota do in the US.

  • Revised Audi A3

I guess this is what we’ll get for 2009.As you can see there isn’t much news. The main thing would be the headlights.the model pictured here is the “Euro only” 3 door. We still won’t get that one in the US. Here is the current model. Seems that the only change inside is on the… Continue reading Revised Audi A3

  • BYD E6

Nothing amazing about that design. but it is a pure electric wagon/crossover.And the “claimed” specs seem really interesting: Top speed is about 100 miles an hour.Range is about 200 miles and it just takes 15 minutes to charge it from a 220 outlet. But these are the claims from China. Sometimes less than trustworthy… We’ll see….

  • JAC A137/A138

2 versions of this new Chinese compact. And that’s another decent looking one.Not sure about how these cars actually drive. but the designs really have improved drastically in just the past couple of years…

  • New Malibu powertrain

Well, not really. They had already announced it when the car came out last year. The 2.4 Liter 6 speed auto is now officially available. As of tomorrow. After driving all versions of the Malibu, this one was my favorite.Sure the V6 is great. But I got over 22mpg in “spirited” mixed driving with the 2.4 Liter. It… Continue reading New Malibu powertrain

  • Kia Sorento

The next one should be car based. Maybe using a version of the Sonata platform. The Sorento has always been a really nice looking SUV with a much better than expected interior. And most owners seem really happy with them. This one should be even better. Let’s hope they keep the prices down. Because, let’s face it,… Continue reading Kia Sorento

  • Lancia Delta

Caught in Paris during a photo shoot. Few cars manage to look pretty futuristic and upscale at the same time. This is great. I wish we could see stuff like that over here. The closest thing we have to an upscale small hatch is the boring looking Audi A3. A nice car, but nothing like this…

  • Roewe 550 video

We can’t seem much, but it still looks good. This is one of the most interesting Chinese cars around, really. It seems so close to what would be accepted in Europe and the US. Except for the silly name….

  • Audi A5 sportback?

Many seem to think Audi is working on a 4 door version of the A5. With either a hatchback or even a sort of low wagon type rear end. Like the new Scirocco. Why not?It doesn’t make any sense to me when they already have the A4 that looks almost the same as the A5.Why not… Continue reading Audi A5 sportback?

  • Dodge Challenger pricing?

Nothing official yet, but Chrysler people are already mentioning $24 000 for the base SE 3.5 Liter V6 model. That doesn’t sound too bad when you compare it with the $38 000 V8 model. And 250 hp will be plenty for most people who just want a great looking car. Still. The Mustang starts at under $20… Continue reading Dodge Challenger pricing?

  • Chery Faira

One cute little car.And pretty aggressive for something that small. Plus, they have a convertible too.Although I wonder how safe a Chinese convertible would be… And by they way, if anyone can find Miss 35’s phone number, send it my way.
