New Beetle JRD tuning 3.2 Liter V6
I must admit I’ve never heard of JRD tuning. I guess I am usually not into that kind of things. But I do love the New Beetle and this actually looks great to me.It does make the original design much more aggressive and yet doesn’t ruin it. It almost looks like what a next generation New… Continue reading New Beetle JRD tuning 3.2 Liter V6

New Porsche Cayenne
This is the 1st official picture of the revised Cayenne for next year.I know, it is pretty dark. I guess they don’t want us to know too much yet (Although I did make the picture a bit brighter) The front end does look quite a bit more aggressive. Not a bad thing for an expensive… Continue reading New Porsche Cayenne

Guess what? Another Chinese SUV Concept!
This one is called CS6-Y.No idea who actually puts it out and I don’t really care. There are as of now, over 130 Chinese car manufacturers! And again, it doesn’t look too bad. At least as good as what we can get from Hyundai or even Toyota or Honda. And look, they don’t even have to use… Continue reading Guess what? Another Chinese SUV Concept!

Forget Chinese cars.
Indian cars are coming! The Mahindra brand (50% of the local market) claims they’ll enter the US market in 2007.That is very soon.An SUV and a pick up would be offered through about 130 dealers. I have no idea how they intend to achieve this so fast.So don’t hold your breath…. Here are pictures of… Continue reading Forget Chinese cars.

FAW Haima S1 Concept
Forget the ugly gold wheels, please. And then what do you have.. A very nice looking coupe. Nothing earth shattering. With a little bit of Mazda, Peugeot and Nissan. But I think it looks very nice and a production model would surely be attractive to many people. FAW is supposed to be the largest car maker… Continue reading FAW Haima S1 Concept

New Ford navigation system and “iPod plug”
Ford offers an all new Navigation system for most of their 2007 models.A 6.5 inch touchscreen.Something I didn’t know…You can get it on the Fusion/Milan and even the Mustang. (The 500/Montego and the F150 too…)And their new radio comes standard with a plug for an MP3 player. Or Sirius option so you can listen to… Continue reading New Ford navigation system and “iPod plug”

New Corolla
Well, this is “only” the Chinese version of the Corolla. But many have said (and many haven’t) it is pretty much what the new Corolla will look like in the US.An OK looking car. To me it doesn’t look as “together” as the new Civic. But it might also be quieter and more luxurious. Different things for… Continue reading New Corolla

Toyota Blade???
At first it just looks like a sporty/upscale version of the new Auris. And that’s pretty much what it is. The specs mention a 167 hp2.4 Liter with a CVT.Although it doesn’t sound that much sportier than the regular engine. They will also offer FWD or AWD and they are talking about adding the 3.5 Liter… Continue reading Toyota Blade???

Even more pictures of the little C30 “in the wild”
It looks great on these pictures.(Although that red carpeting isn’t for everyone…)You can go to the Volvo site and configure one out, but no pricing yet. People here have been saying pretty good things as far as the S40 reliability goes. That’s good news for this one… I can’t wait to see this car for… Continue reading Even more pictures of the little C30 “in the wild”

Hongqi C601
I am actually posting this because I think this is fun. (In a horrific way)This Hongqi C601 is said to be inspired by a Mask from a Chinese Opera. From what I see here, I will do anything I can to avoid the next show…

VW Neeza concept in China
These are pictures. I posted illustrations of this concept previously. It just looks like a production car to me. There’s nothing new or exiting about this. A cross between a Q7 and a Passat wagon. Two good looking cars, but they’re already in production. The goofy interior and the suicide doors are obviously not going to… Continue reading VW Neeza concept in China

Chery A3 (again…)
First time I see the interior. And you know what? I think it looks better than the US Focus.Unless the “new” one we’ll get next year is way better than the current model. So far this little car seems at least as nice as what we get over here.As I said before, at least on paper.… Continue reading Chery A3 (again…)

Brilliance M3 Coupe
Another one from the Chinese Auto show. This time, a coupe version of the sedan that was presented last year.I think the sedan is already on sale in some European countries for around $20 000. Although I am not 100% sure. The sedan was designed in Italy . I’m not so sure about the coupe. The rear… Continue reading Brilliance M3 Coupe

Not so “new” Opel Astra
Opel has just released pictures of the “slightly revised” Astra.New bumpers and the current fashionable “piano black finish” (It is now everywhere from car dashboards to flat TVs…) inside, are the only changes I can see. You can basically switch the Opel logos for Saturn ones and you have the Ion replacement. Another thing. Saturn… Continue reading Not so “new” Opel Astra

More on that “Mercedes/Renault copy”
Now for something strictly for the Chinese market. You can tell it is ready for production, but not really acceptable for export.Especially in Europe where the “inspiration” for the design came from… One last thing:If you are allergic to Chinese cars, please stay away from the site for a little while. There is an auto show… Continue reading More on that “Mercedes/Renault copy”

Details on the Chery A3
It was actually designed in Italy by Pininfarina.Comes with power windows, DVD player, DVD navigation, 4 airbags, ABS, ESP. So far, on paper at least, it isn’t so bad. Better than Korean cars from just a few years ago. And better looking too. My main problem would be to buy a car from a company… Continue reading Details on the Chery A3

How do you say “300” in Chinese?
Looks like Chrysler is selling the 300 in China.By they way, wasn’t it supposed to get a new interior for 2007? What happened to that???
