Byd F1
Another Chinese car, another copy. This time they copy the Toyota Aygo. The top picture is still just an illustration, the car isn’t out yet. But the real news is the price. They have just announced it will be sold in China for 23000 Yuans. Which is about $3500! I am sure the car is not… Continue reading Byd F1

Renault Kagoo and Kangoo Express: the video
This gives a better idea. I still think the “delivery version” would be cool for small companies that don’t really need a giant pick up truck. It’s pretty bare bone, but it seems to have everything you need for that kind of small jobs….

VW Bulli???
This illustration from Auto Express shows what an all new modern version of the VW bus could look like. Unlike the Microbus concept from 2001, this would be smaller and affordable. The Microbus turned out to be too expensive to produce. This one would be based on a smaller existing platform. Part of the rumor also claims… Continue reading VW Bulli???

Renault Kangoo Express
This is the cheaper panel van version of the new Kangoo. And I still think there would be a market in the US for this type of small vans. Why can the pool guy drive this instead of a full size pick up truck that gets about 11mpg… This is supposed to be getting about 40mpg in… Continue reading Renault Kangoo Express

Cadillac CTS Coupe
The Coupe version of the CTS is supposed to start production in 2009.Which would make it a 2010 model, I guess. I am not sure if they are still planing a convertible version, but a wagon will come out the same year. That might be a good way to bring the new V6 diesel (already available… Continue reading Cadillac CTS Coupe

Opel Astra glass roof
Weird looking? Sure…Hard to clean? Probably…. But it looks fantastic and I’m sure it feels great to drive. This would have been a really cool option on our Saturn version of the Astra.Something that stands out from the competition.

New Honda Fit
Now it will be offered with a larger 1.5 Liter engine, on top of the standard 1.3 Liter. We should see it in the US next spring.

Bob’s Big Boy tonight….
Really, tonight. I was there and it was great, as usual. You can still go if you hurry. The famous one in Burbank.

Burlapp and the C4 movie
A friend of mine was driving a Citroen C4 when I was in Europe last month. Here is a little movie I shot of the car. A very nice looking compact. Much more modern than pretty much anything we have over here.It felt quiet and smooth. And if it didn’t have that super heavy feel like… Continue reading Burlapp and the C4 movie

I got to ride in the car and had my video camera with me, so I though, why not film it and share the joy. I… Continue reading Vince Burlapp in Europe

Audi A1 Concept
No big surprises here.Plus, it will be toned down for production. A nice little car without the personality of the Mini or the Fiat 500.
