2016/17 VW Passat CC?
Frankly, I can’t really imagine VW coming up with such a cool and aggressive design. At least not before 2030. But this illustration does look really cool. We’ll have to see what the real thing will look like.

All new Opel Karl
The Karl is supposed to replace the tiny Agila next year. And there won’t be any Euro Chevy version anymore. Since now they don’t have Chevrolet in Europe anymore (What a stupid idea that was in the first place anyway…) We are not supposed to get this since a new Spark is on its way.… Continue reading All new Opel Karl

Especially one looking as perfect as this one. On my way home…

Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake
This is yet another wagon we won’t be getting in the US. As Mercedes is making more money selling us the GLA. So again, no car based wagon for us. Just as we are not getting the new C-Class wagon either. Instead, we will be getting the all new C-Class based GLC next year. Which… Continue reading Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake

L.A Auto Show observations. Part three
It was the first time I had a chance to sit on the new Hyundai Genesis. And what a let down. I remember they claimed that everything was the real thing inside. Real wood, aluminum trim etc… But it all looks fake. Really fake. (At least in the color combo they have on the floor.)… Continue reading L.A Auto Show observations. Part three

L.A AutoShow observations. Two
Inside the all new Honda HR-V, things are actually pretty nice and modern. And, with a very roomy back seat. For such a small car. Inside the Mazda CX-3, things are even more stylish. With plenty of very nice details and materials. It just looks great. It also sounds really solid when you close the… Continue reading L.A AutoShow observations. Two

L.A Auto Show observations. Part one.
We have pretty much seen everything from the auto show already. I went today and decided to just look around. Not just the new models. Look at little details that maybe pictures don’t show. So here it is: The Toyota Mirai IS as ugly as you think in real life. It is just too bad… Continue reading L.A Auto Show observations. Part one.

Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Concept
I am not a truck person. At all. (Mostly since I have zero need for one.) But this, is a great looking truck. Sure they call it a “concept”. For now. We already know that the new 2.8 Liter diesel (181hp) will make it into the Colorado soon. And the extra bits are nothing crazy.… Continue reading Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Concept

How about more pictures of that new “bigger than big” grille on the 2015 Chrysler 300
And, the cleaner rear end…

Lexus LF-C2 Concept
Nothing very special. It is pretty much a preview of a convertible version of the RC-F. Which is just fine. I like convertibles. So as far as i’m concerned, the more the better. I am glad to see that car makers don’t give up on that shrinking segment.

2016 Honda HR-V
Looking pretty cute. And in direct competition with the all new Mazda CX-2. Also introduced today. And also looking almost as roomy as the larger CR-V. While more modern looking. Engine for the US is a 1.8 Liter with 138HP. With a CVT. But there is good news: a 6 speed manual is available in… Continue reading 2016 Honda HR-V

2016 Mazda CX-5
The CX-5 is also getting a refresh for the new year. But, unlike the Mazda6, it is not getting a new interior. Which is too bad. As the current one is pretty bland. Almost Mitsubishi like… Engines are the same as before. And just like with the revised Mazda6, I don’t think the new front… Continue reading 2016 Mazda CX-5

2016 Jaguar F-Type gets manual option.
Finally. A 6 speed manual will be available with the V6 models. But I also remember rumors of a “less expensive” 2.0 Liter Turbo model being considered. This with the manual would actually be a really nice, more affordable, combo. As of right now, the F-Type is still about $20 000 more than a Porsche… Continue reading 2016 Jaguar F-Type gets manual option.

2016 Mazda6
I really don’t think they needed to do anything to the exterior. As it looked great the way it was. The slightly revised front end is really not an improvement. It doesn’t ruin the car or anything, but why bother??? Inside, it is much better. It manages to both look much more original than before,… Continue reading 2016 Mazda6
