• Trickle down Volvo tech: New Geely Plug-in Hybrid sedan

The pretty Geely CG9 sedan isn’t an all new car. But now they will have a plug-in hybrid version of it. (Thanks to Volvo) So there… The Peter Horbury design has aged very well. (It was previewed as a concept back in 2012 and the production model showed up at the end of 2014)

  • 2019 Ford Focus

The top pic is obviously the new one. But I also posted a photo of the current Ford Focus.  Just to see the differences . General roportions are not that different. ( I think it is still based on the same platform, just like the new Fiesta) And from that picture at least, I am… Continue reading 2019 Ford Focus

  • Lynk and Co. 02

We have heard of that new brand, Lynk & Co before. A sub-Volvo brand from the same owner, Geely. Lynk & Co is supposed to be sold outside of China as well. Especially in Europe and the US. So we might actually end up seeing the car pictured above. I guess they would use Volvo… Continue reading Lynk and Co. 02

  • 2018 Hyundai ix35

Just a few more pictures of that new ix35 compact SUV from Hyundai. It’s quite blocky looking. Which doesn’t really fit with the rest of Hyundai’s current crossover designs. And it has a huge grille for its size. Which is really a horrible trend… Pretty square inside too. Rather conservative interior. But at least, no… Continue reading 2018 Hyundai ix35

  • 2019 Aston Martin Vantage

These are just rough patent drawings, but they do show the shape of the next small Aston Martin, the Vantage. It does match all the prototypes we have seen driving around. But also the recent official teaser shots . As well as James Bond’s DB10. And again, the current Vantage is the smallest and most… Continue reading 2019 Aston Martin Vantage

  • 2018 Mercedes G-Class

We’ve all seen many, many pictures of these “Next G-Class” . After all, it has been almost 40 years since the current one came out (!!!!!) So yes, I would say it is time for a new one. What we haven’t seen yet is the interior. And here it is. At least the dashboard. Still… Continue reading 2018 Mercedes G-Class

  • 2019 VW T-Cross?

The US is NOT getting the really cool looking T-Rock small SUV, but we might be getting this one instead. The picture above is just an illustration. But it is based on the T-Cross Breeze concept from 2016. And it does look pretty realistic. While being quite a bit less fun and more boring looking… Continue reading 2019 VW T-Cross?

  • 2018 Jeep Wrangler

Still climbing rocks. Apparently, now doing it in a more sophisticated and comfortable manner. More on the all new Wrangler very soon… Automobile Magazine has more…

  • 2018 Infiniti QX-80

Thanks to a reader, this morning we are getting early pictures of the “new” 2018 Infiniti QX-80. Which, as you can see, is NOT new at all. The 2018 model is on top. All that is new is the front end. the ugly/vulgar chrome bit on the fender etc… Even the mirrors look the same!… Continue reading 2018 Infiniti QX-80

  • 2018 Jeep Wrangler

I think Jeep did a great job redesigning the Wrangler. Sure, to most people, it won’t look that new. But I think of all cars out there, the Wrangler doesn’t need to change the way not looks. This looks new enough. It is a classic, timeless design that can last forever. They just keep finding… Continue reading 2018 Jeep Wrangler

  • New Opel teaser

Not sure what this is, at all. The small part of the tire we get to see tells me this is probably a concept and not an actual production model. Maybe a concept version of that high end SUV they were talking about last year? But now based on a Peugeot platform. But the lack… Continue reading New Opel teaser

  • 2019 Porsche 911

The Porsche 911 is supposed to be all new next year. So let’s see what we can guess so far. Which is not much. The red car is obviously the current model. And the prototypes above show a very, very similar shape. Except for the rear lights. Sure, there is still quite a bit of… Continue reading 2019 Porsche 911
