Auto Show notes: VW Atlas SportCross
I have to say, the new 5 seater version of the Atlas looks much better than the regular model. And since it is only a few inches shorter, there is tons of room inside. With a huge cargo area. But that interior is the same as the regular Atlas. The same interior that looked old… Continue reading Auto Show notes: VW Atlas SportCross

Auto Show notes: Which one is it???
We all know that all 4 Nissan sedans now look like pretty much the same car in different sizes. But look at this picture! No, they are NOT the same car. The one in the foreground is the new Versa. While the one behind is the all new Sentra. Really…

Auto Show notes: Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid trunk space
The top picture is the trunk of the new Hybrid version. As you can see, Subaru never intended for that platform to us all these batteries. And the trunk area is really compromised. Plus it costs over $35 000! For a tiny 17 miles of EV range… Not really sure who this is for in… Continue reading Auto Show notes: Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid trunk space

Auto Show notes: Porsche Taycan
I was disappointed to see that the rear design of the Porsche Taycan was trying too hard to look like a hatchback, without actually being one. It even uses the same “cheap”trick” as the all new Kia Optima. Where the part under the rear window is actually the top part of the truck, covered in… Continue reading Auto Show notes: Porsche Taycan

Another Cybertruck ?
There has been a lot of talk lately about the new Tesla Cybertruck. I am still not 100% of what to think of it myself. Which, I guess, is good. How often do we see such a weird design that actually takes us a while to digest. I do applaud the weirdness and compete new… Continue reading Another Cybertruck ?

New Hyundai LaFesta EV
The Lafesta is a Hyundai sedan that has been on sale in China for a while. It is sized in between the Sonata and Elantra. For 2020, Hyundai is introducing a pure electric version. With a 306 miles range. Which could be pretty impressive. (Even if the number would be a bit power in the… Continue reading New Hyundai LaFesta EV

Auto Show notes: Mini Cooper Electric
The electric version of the Mini Cooper does not get an all new interior. And it’s fine. The little oval screen behind the wheel looks great. And the cloth on the seats looks fantastic. So glad to see great looking seats without leather. Or “Leatherette” (Vinyl) I say bring back cloth! But no one on… Continue reading Auto Show notes: Mini Cooper Electric

Auto Show notes: Karma Revero
I sat in the “old” Fisker version of the Karma a few times before. And, even though the car was gorgeous, the interior quality was always a bit disappointing. It did have a home made kit car feel to it… Even though the new Revero looks very similar, inside and out. Things are very different.… Continue reading Auto Show notes: Karma Revero

2021 Nissan Sentra
I was also pleasantly surprised by the all new Nissan Sentra. Sure, the one on the floor of the auto show was a loaded model with probably every option available. But it was a very nice looking car, inside and out. The interior design is quite interesting (Even if they didn’t integrate the screen…) The… Continue reading 2021 Nissan Sentra

More on the Tesla Cybertruck
This has to be the weirdest automotive design I have seen in many years. Also a gutsy gamble. At least visually. It is still hard to see if this is really close to the production model to not. Since it’s impossible to see any bumpers or rear view mirrors. Is the LED line up front… Continue reading More on the Tesla Cybertruck

All new Tesla Cybertruck reveal! (Finally)
It’s actually hard to digest right this minute…. The presentation is on going. Elon Musk seems either drunk or high. The Tesla truck looks so weird it makes you wonder if there is even a market for something like it. Some guy hit it with a sledge hammer to show how strong the new alloy… Continue reading All new Tesla Cybertruck reveal! (Finally)

2021 Kia Seltos: a little bit disappointing…
I have to say that while I was pleasantly surprised by the Chevrolet Trailblazer, the new Kia Seltos was a bit disappointing. Maybe just due to the fact that I was expecting much more (and much less from the Trailblazer…) The front end of a car is quite a busy mess. Just too much. Too… Continue reading 2021 Kia Seltos: a little bit disappointing…

More pictures of the new Chevrolet Menlo EV
While the US has not been getting a new EV model from GM since 2016, China is getting yet another one. It is based on the Bolt (not the all new EV platform designed for the US market). But seems longer and roomier. The shape is more like a wagon. The interior is OK. But… Continue reading More pictures of the new Chevrolet Menlo EV

2021 Kia Optima Interior
These are the first clear pictures we are getting of the all new redesigned Kia Optima for 2021. So far, it does look like quite an upscale interior. I do like the way they use the wood on the dash. And they did make an effort trying to integrate the screen. Which now has an… Continue reading 2021 Kia Optima Interior

2021 Genesis GV80 interior
We have seen bits of it before. And it is still looking good. Too bad the screen isn’t integrated into the dash a bit better. But at least, it is not sticking out as bad as in so many other cars. This feels a bit more like what Mazda has been going. The console itself… Continue reading 2021 Genesis GV80 interior

2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer: what a nice surprise!
In my opinion, the new Trailbazer was one of the nicest surprise of the show. We had seen official pictures of the RS version before. But in person, it does have quite a charming personality. Especially, the Activ trim with its contrasting white roof. the design, inside and out, is pretty clean and simple. Much,… Continue reading 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer: what a nice surprise!

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E interior
I got the opportunity to sit in the all new Ford Mustang Mach-E yesterday, and was pretty impressed. As I think it is a much more upscale interior than the Tesla Model 3 and Y. In the Tesla, you have the feeling that the cool futuristic design is basically limited to the dashboard. The rest… Continue reading 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E interior

All new VW Viloran Minivan
Of course, it looks nothing like the super exaggerated teaser illustration VW had released earlier…(HERE) Still, this seems pretty decent for a minivan design. If nothing new. The US minivan market isn’t as healthy as it used to be, so the new Viloran will probably stay in China, as currently planned.

2021 Aston Martin DBX
I think this looks quite fine (Even though it still has a Ford vibe to it) It looks much nicer and not as tacky than the Bentley Bentayga. For about $30 000 more, at $190 000. The engine is a version of the twin turbo 4.0 Liter AMG V8 .With 542 HP no one will… Continue reading 2021 Aston Martin DBX

2021 Audi E-Tron Sportback
It is pretty obvious that Audi is on track to design a “Coupe” version of all their SUV models. Which is OK, since they do look quite nice. Like this Sportback version of the E-Tron (bottom pic) The Sportback looks more like a high riding hatchback sedan. While the regular model is just a normal… Continue reading 2021 Audi E-Tron Sportback
