• 2011 Hyundai Elantra

Sure looks better than the current one.But it might also seem a bit overdone. Especially inside. We’ll see when the whole thing is visible. It does look like a small Sonata.

  • Saab 9-4X

Another still born. And look at that interior. Finished and looking great. I guess this could end up as an Opel in Europe. Maybe…This would have given Saab a really good chance against the Q5 and X3. Finally. Should this be produced under another brand? (It’s not like all these cars could become Saturn or anything…)… Continue reading Saab 9-4X

  • Peugeot 206 Pick up

Peugeot is actually pretty familiar with pick ups.Over the years they have produced pick up versions of the 403, 504 and 203 sedans. This new one would be based on their popular 206 Model. And it looks really cool. Not sure if this is actually for Europe or south America where pick ups are more popular. I… Continue reading Peugeot 206 Pick up

  • GM’s excuses for killing Saab.

These are quotes from yesterday’s press conference with GM VP J.Smith: – (About the Spyker deal) Both parties couldn’t resolve issues in time to make a Saab deal happen. “Worked hard, but didn’t have time”.-“in the end there were issues that could not be overcome”-“no additional amount of time ” would have resolved issues with… Continue reading GM’s excuses for killing Saab.

  • The new Saab 9-5

I had no idea the car would never be produced when I took these pictures at the Los Angeles Auto show.Turns out it would be the car’s last public appearance. What should happen to it. Could it leave somewhere else?It would be tough to turn it into a Chevy or Buick. No room for it… Continue reading The new Saab 9-5

  • R.I.P: Saab…

This is really sad. GM was not able to find a buyer for Saab after all.We will never see the new 9-5 sedan and wagon, or the 9-4X. Cars that were about ready to come out. Here is the official word from GM; “Detroit. General Motors announced today that the intended sale of Saab Automobile… Continue reading R.I.P: Saab…

  • 2011 Citroen C4?

The top car is an illustration of what it could look like. The other one is the current model. I got a chance to ride (not drive) in a C4 a couple of years ago, and I was really impressed. The car felt very nice and it really looked great. With quite a futuristic interior design.Quite… Continue reading 2011 Citroen C4?

  • 2011 WV Touareg

Still just an illustration, but seems pretty close to the spy shots that have been out.I always thought the current model looked old, even when it came out. This seems just a little bit sleeker. But these aren’t great times to come up with a pretty expensive SUV. VW should spend more money on the… Continue reading 2011 WV Touareg

  • Samnsung SM5

The new large Samsung is now based on the Renault Laguna. The previous model was a version of the Nissan Teana. I think it looks OK. As good as many of its competition. I can see why Penske was interested in selling these cars as Saturns in the US.

  • Geely to buy Volvo in February 2010

This is what the plan is so far. Volvo would be Chinese own in a few months. At least they would still be around. Would you buy a Chinese Volvo?Or, you cares who owns it?

  • Audi A1

This is the real thing.Caught downtown Los Angeles with new spokesman Justin Timberlake filming a commercial. And it does look, a little bit boring if you ask me… At least, it seems that some silver trim is available from the A pillar onto the whole side of the car. Just like on the concept. That might make… Continue reading Audi A1

  • 2011 Saab 9.5 Combi

Not sure if this is the real thing yet.But we might never see it anyway. The future of the whole brand in uncertain, to say the least. GM said yesterday that Spyker is the only interested buyer left. After selling the tooling from the previous generation 9.5 and pre facelift 9.3 to the Chinese.GM will… Continue reading 2011 Saab 9.5 Combi

  • Aston Martin Cygnet

One of the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.An Aston Version of the Toyota iQ. And it’s for real. I actually thought it was a joke when both companies released a statement months ago.Sure, it does look much more upscale than the iQ, but still, it’s no Aston Martin. Really.WTF???? Here is how they officially explain… Continue reading Aston Martin Cygnet

  • Next BMW 3 series?

It sure looks like it to me. And it might even be the all new hatchback GT version that is planned for the next 3 series. The base engine in the US won’t be the usual 6 cylinder anymore. We are supposed to be getting a new 4 cylinder turbo in the base model.

  • Insignia wagon in the US

This Opel Insignia wagon was caught testing in Michigan.Buick is seriously considering bringing over the wagon version and turn it into the new Buick Regal wagon. They would be pretty much alone in the US market. There are no wagon versions of the Accord, Camry, Mazda6 or Altima in the US.Only Honda is planning to… Continue reading Insignia wagon in the US

  • Mini Beachcomber Concept

This is not really a new version of the old Mini Moke, like some people were hoping.Instead, we have a slight preview of what the upcoming Mini Crossman SUV will look like.Basically, the same thing with doors, and no outside spare …

  • 2011 Audi A1

These don’t seem to be the real thing yet.But they do look pretty realistic. And a bit boring, I must say. This doesn’t look as much fun as the Mini or Fiat 500.Not much history or personality at all.

  • 10 000 Porsche Panameras

They have already built 10 000 of the expensive Porsche sedan. In about 3 months! They are eventually planning to build 20 000 a year. That is a pretty big number for such a car.
