• All new (?) Hyundai ix20

Hynudai will be showing an all new model at the Paris auto show. But it is basically their version of the good looking Kia Venga they’ve been selling in Europe since last year… Here is the Kia version, which, in my opinion, looks actually much better. The interior reminds me of the Forte, which is good. I… Continue reading All new (?) Hyundai ix20

  • What could have been: 1982 Buick Skyhawk coupe

The top picture is a clay model from the late 70’s.The actual car, the J-Body Skyhawk, came out in late 1981 for the 1982 model year. For once, it looks like they didn’t water it down too much from their early designs.I think the production model still looks pretty decent to this day.

  • Small Micra based Nissan Sedan

This will be a really small sedan, smaller than the Versa. The Micra is already out in many markets, and is headed for the US soon.So it would actually make sense to sell the sedan version over here too.

  • 2012 Toyota Yaris

The Yaris will be all new for 2012. These are pictures of the hatchback version we’ll also get in the US. Competition is getting tough these days, even here. From what we can see, it looks like it could be a pretty modern design. We’ll see….

  • New Chevrolet Aveo interior

What a giant leap forward from the current car.And truly, a smaller Cruze interior. At least on this picture, it looks great, for a car of that size and class. Better than the rather boring Mazda2 interior.

  • 2011 Chrysler Sebring???

Chinese brand Beijing was, until recently, producing the Sebring and 300 for Chrysler in Chine.Soon they will come out with this new sedan, the T8, “based” on the Sebring. You can tell the roof and windows are the same.. But it does show what can be done to extensively refresh the car without a total redesign.… Continue reading 2011 Chrysler Sebring???

  • 2012 Cadillac ATS or XTS???

This does look like a new Cadillac model. And the headlights do look similar to the XTS concept we saw last year. But could it also be the new small ATS sedan? What do you think?

  • Next Mercedes ML

And of course, it will be square.Like everything Mercedes designs these days. Although it doesn’t seem as bad as the nightmarish and cheap looking GLK. So they might actually be moving toward more flowing lines. Especially inside. We’ll see…

  • Alfas in the US!

This picture of a truckload of new Alfa Giulietta was taken here in the US! Probably heading to some dealer meeting. Or something.Which means Fiat might actually be telling us the truth this time when they claim we’ll see the return of Alfa in the US in 2012. Let’s hope.

  • Ford Fiesta based Crossover?

Who knows. This illustration looks more like a Mazda to me. But the idea of a small crossover based on the new Fiesta could be a good one. They have already been testing mules of such a model. So it is coming. We’ll see…

  • 2012 Chrysler 300

Looks like it will be pretty much exactly like that illustration Chrysler was passing around last year (Bottom picture) Seems like a very nice update on the same theme. Which could be smart. The current design was a hit.But that’s also back when it came out, in 2005… I am not sure if the big… Continue reading 2012 Chrysler 300

  • 2011 Chevrolet Aveo

Looking a bit less aggressive than the concept we saw earlier. They also changed the headlights. Not sure why… But it looks like a nice update. ready to battle mostly the Mazda 2 in the US. Sedan comes out later.

  • Opel Astra GTC Concept

Th concept part looks like a bunch of details. Like the 21 inch wheels. Maybe the aggressive front end and some interior bits. This looks production ready to me. This Astra Coupe will be a great looking car. And would make quite a stunning small sporty Buick in the US if GM ever has the… Continue reading Opel Astra GTC Concept

  • How “new” is the new Continental?

The new one is on top.And it does look all new, actually. The door handle is now right in the middle of the side line on the door.Rear side window is sharper. Not as soft. etc… They seem to have done it right.Long live this great design.
