Great 2010 Opel Meriva Video
Quite an amazing piece of modern technology. I am talking about the video. Even though I really like the car a lot. I think it could really make a nice little modern Buick. It is quite upscale and would be well worth a premium over cars like the Scion xB

Mitsubishi RVR for Europe
It looks pretty much exactly the same as the Japanese version, really. The side turn signals are now on the mirrors. And there is just more black plastic, almost everywhere. Grille, bumper, side skirts and pseudo roof rails. It is getting a new 1.8 Liter with a 6 speed manual. In Europe. Not sure what… Continue reading Mitsubishi RVR for Europe

BurlappCars on the phone?
Just curious. I was wondering if many people check this site on their phone? Or their iPod touch? Or anything else that isn’t a “proper computer”. (we’ll include the “Apple tablet” next year…) Are you reading this on your cell phone?

2010 Ford S-Max and Galaxy
The S-Max and its larger cousing have been upgraded for the 2010 model year. As usual, this will not be seen over here. (Although I remember some rumors last year…) They still look much better than almost any other minivan out there. Especially the smaller S-Max. Much nicer than the upcoming C-Max. (The one we… Continue reading 2010 Ford S-Max and Galaxy

New Smart lease
Now you can lease Smart in the US. Kind of desperate measures for a brand that has sold about 40% less cars last year. Would you consider one? $169 seems like an OK deal. But even with air and power windows, the “pure coupe” model is a pretty basic car.

2013 Ford Focus wagon?
I guess it’s a no brainer. A wagon version of the Focus has always been available in Europe. We might even get the next one over here…

New Peugeot 408
This is so far, for the Chinese market only. Basically, a more upscale sedan version of the 308 hatchback sold in Europe. I was just wondering if the wheelbase was longer. The back seat looks roomier than a TownCar!

2010 Detroit Auto Show babes
Is it me or they seem to all hate being there. Most look bored out of their minds, and some look even pissed off. Featuring a couple of fake smiles…

2010 Opel Meriva Interior
That interior looks great. If only GM could find a way to bring this over here as a Chevrolet, or even a Buick…

Revised Ford Mondeo
A revised Ford Mondeo will go on sale very soon in Europe. Just making sure the big Euro Ford doesn’t look too old when the old new Focus comes out. It still looks much better than our Fusion. US Fusion and Euro Mondeo will melt into the same car for the next generation. Due about… Continue reading Revised Ford Mondeo

2011 BMW 3 series coupe
Or “another pointless mud-cycle refresh from BMW”… The 3 series is a great looking car that needs nothing. At least they didn’t ruin it, somehow, the slight changes also look great. This is last year’s model. Hardly a difference…

2011 Kia Sportage
New all new Sportage will be a much better looking car than the current one, that’s for sure. Seems that with this and the new Tucson, Hyundai/Kia will have very strong offerings in the segement.

Audi A1 teaser
Not much to see here besides the headlights. And a silhouette at the end. More soon.

Chrysler Delta and 2012 300???
Don’t get too distracted by the Lancia with a Chrysler badge on it. Or even the girl Look at the black and white video being projected on the screen behind the car. At about 1minute and 5 seconds into the video, you can see a few shots of the next Chrysler 300. And it does… Continue reading Chrysler Delta and 2012 300???

2012 Chevrolet Cruze hatchback?
It does seem like it. When I saw a GM presentation of the Cruze before the Auto Show last month, they wouldn’t talk about other versions of the car. But I am sure that, t least in Europe, they need the hatchback version to compete. And after seeing the 2012 Focus, I am sure some… Continue reading 2012 Chevrolet Cruze hatchback?

Cadillac CTS-V Coupe video
One of the coolest car videos I’ve seen in a long time.I want to drive one.
