• 2012 BMW 6 series convertible

This is the real thing.Looking exactly (surprise!) like the rather conservative 6 series coupe concept we saw just a few weeks ago. It actually looks a bit more boring than the current car. Which is not a good thing.

  • New Mercedes SLK

Looks like it’s coming out soon.Prototypes have less and less camouflage. It also looks pretty good, especially considering the horrible stuff we’ve seen from Mercedes lately. More if you click on the title.

  • 2012 Toyota Prius Alpha

Just an illustration, but it looks pretty good.Really close to the official teaser from a few days ago. I still think the powertrain would really struggle with 7 people on board. Even if you just don’t expect it to be fast “because it’s a hybrid”.It still needs to get on freeway onramps at a decent… Continue reading 2012 Toyota Prius Alpha

  • More pictures of the Kia Forte hatchback

Still called Cerato in some markets, I guess. On top of a 5 door version, the Forte is supposed to gain a 6 speed auto as well as a Navigation option for the new year.Making life even harder for the 2012 Civic…

  • 2012 Honda Civic interior

This looks like such a step backward from the current generation. I know the current interior has been criticised, but I happen to really like it. And the Euro version is even better. But this is just a blocky, uglier version of it. Of course, we’ll have to wait for the real thing to show up,… Continue reading 2012 Honda Civic interior

  • 2011/12 Hyundai Accent hatchback

It is Happy Hour here in Hollywood, and I’m not really sure if this picture was posted before. In any case, this is the 5 door hatchback version of the upcoming Accent. And I guess we’ll see it in the US as well. Considering the competition from the Nissan March and new Toyota Yaris.

  • 2012 Toyota Prius Alpha

First official teaser of the larger Prius.Rumored to have enough room for seven seats. If they use the same engine, carrying 7 people in a larger Prius might be quite a slow experience. We’ll see…

  • 2011/12 VW Tiguan

Another one gets the new VW front end. This is the Chinese version and the Tiguan will adopt a similar face for Europe and the US next year. Not very popular in the US, where most other choices are cheaper, and more interesting looking.

  • 2012 Honda Civic sedan

It does look a lot like the current one with a new front and rear. But it’s not. It’s actually a new design, but one of these “new designs” that look like the old one. If you see pictures of the interior on the site, you can tell it is new.But in a bad way. They have… Continue reading 2012 Honda Civic sedan

  • 2012 Nissan Versa sedan

Looking much, much better than the current model.Nissan will have plenty of inexpensive models in the line up next year. With a new Micra/March, and a new Sentra is coming up as well.

  • Chrysler 200 teasers

Just a few details, focusing on what’s new from the Sebring.Basically, the 200 is a Sebring with redesigned front and rear ends. As far as the interior, I guess the big news is… “stitching”?I hope the rumors are true, and the car does get an all new interior. The new Chrysler V6 will also make it… Continue reading Chrysler 200 teasers

  • New Mercedes SLK

Just a teaser. With a new technology called Magic Sky Control that darkens the overhead glass panel. SLK has always looked great. I can’t wait to see the new one.

  • 2012 Buick Verano

The name of the upcoming small Buick sedan is now official. It is pretty much a US built version of the car sold in China as the Buick Excelle GT.Which itself is a sedan version of the Opel Astra. These are pictures of the Chinese version. Not sure what it will compete with in the… Continue reading 2012 Buick Verano

  • New Dodge Durango Interior

Looking really nice, I must say. What a giant leap from the old one.So it looks like Chrysler had decent stuff in the pipeline after all. Now if they could only get some cars people would actually want to buy.A big thirsty SUV and a 4 door muscle car aren’t really the most popular items… Continue reading New Dodge Durango Interior

  • 2011 VW Eos

These pictures do look like the real thing. We’ll know for sure next month when it comes out for the L.A Auto show.Just the VW usual: obsessively changing the front ends of all their models. So now they all look the same. Which is actually not so bad. It works on the Eos.Interior should be the… Continue reading 2011 VW Eos
