• New MG3

The new MG 3 looks ready to fight with small European cars like the Ford Fiesta. At least in China. And maybe Europe if it makes it over there. I still think the “New MG” is the one Chinese brand that could really have a chance in the US.

  • 2011 Opel Corsa

The little Corsa gets revised for the new year.Just a few changes to keep it fresh, and a bit more aggressive.I think it does work.No matter what, the Corsa is one of the nicest looking small car in Europe. In the “old Saturn” days, just a couple of years ago, Bob Lutz had mentioned that the… Continue reading 2011 Opel Corsa

  • 2012 Hyundai Azera

The all new Azera seems to already have much more style than the rather boring Genesis sedan. And quite a serious competition to established cars like the Buick Lacrosse, Nissan Maxima and Ford Taurus. We will see much more really soon, so stay tuned…

  • 2011 Chrysler 300 interior

This actually looks really good to me. The new 300 could turn out to be a great alternative to the Taurus, Maxima and LaCrosse. If priced right. We’ll see really soon how the whole thing turns out…

  • New Alfa Romeo Giulia

Fiat has pretty big plans for Alfa Romeo in the US.The all new Giulia sedan and wagon will be competing with models like the Audi A4, Acura TSX in the US. This is still just an illustration, but it is easy to guess that an Italian designed mid sized sport sedan could easily look better… Continue reading New Alfa Romeo Giulia

  • Baojun 630

Yet another Chinese brand. Of some interest, because GM is actually involved. The brand was created by GM and SAIC as a low cost alternative to other GM brands for the Chinese market. So this will be cheaper than the cheapest Chevrolet sold over there. Considering this, it actually doesn’t look too bad, for a super… Continue reading Baojun 630

  • New US Fiat commercial

Maybe it’s just me, but I really think a car commercial should feature: the car.More than the type of people who might or might not buy it. Especially when the car looks that good.

  • New Toyota Etios

The Etios is mainly for the Indian market. The hatchback version will get a 1.2 Liter with 80hp, while the sedan gets a larger 1.5 Liter with 100hp.Although these specs are pretty low for the US, they are in line with other cars in this class offered in India. This is the “concept” Toyota showed at the… Continue reading New Toyota Etios

  • Be my friend!

It’s time for everyone to be my friend on Facebook. And tell your friends to be my friend. So we can all talk about what we love the most : cars.Who knows, we could even chat.

  • 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show notes

-The Audi A7 is even more striking in real life.-The new VW Touareg has the most solid doors I’ve ever experienced.-The VW press conference for the “new” Eos was pathetic.-The new Volvo S60 has a great interior.-The 2011 Corolla is not better in person.-The new Charger interior is still pretty cheezy.-The Kia Optima’s interior might… Continue reading 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show notes

  • Jiangling’s SUV

Yet another Chinese brand I have never heard of.Following a local tradition of copying everything else out there, this new SUV is a freakish amalgam of so many other designs. Jiangling is apparently China’s Ford partner. So engines are from Ford. That’s all we know so far. Can’t wait to not see it…

  • 2012 VW Coupe?

This is what VW was showing the press a few days ago.Looking a lot like the new Jetta. But the shorter wheelbase and apparent hatchback design make it quite different, and smaller looking. It almost looks like it is actually based on the Polo. No idea what this is. If it will be marketed as a… Continue reading 2012 VW Coupe?

  • 2011 Chrysler 300

We’ve already seen the whole thing uncovered a few days ago, cought during a photo shoot. But Chrysler chooses to ignore it, and just released these new teaser shots of the redesigned 300 sedan. It looks.. chromy. And a bit more art deco than before. And it will, finally, get a modern V6 engine. Although they will… Continue reading 2011 Chrysler 300

  • What could have been: a smaller Edsel sedan

Back in the days, before the big flop, Ford was developing Edsel as a full brand. Here is one of the smaller models they were thinking of. This actually was retooled and eventually became the Mercury Comet.
