2013 Holden Commodore
Basically the same car as before. Like I mentioned earlier. Mostly a new front, rear and new interior. It is still a nice looking car. The problem is that GM wants to sell this as the Chevrolet SS. We already have the similar sized FWD Impala coming out soon. Battling with the Avalon crowd. So… Continue reading 2013 Holden Commodore

2014/15 Mazda 3
Looks like once again, the Mazda 3 will be the top choice as a compact hatchback when the new design comes out. So far Mazda has never failed to deliver a good looking and great driving car in that segment. The picture taken in the street does match the one I published a few months… Continue reading 2014/15 Mazda 3

All new Nissan Teana
The Teana has basically been the big Nissan for other countries than the US. Where they do not have the Maxima. So until now, it has been based on the Maxima. But as you can see here, it looks like the next one will just be a rebadged Altima. Not a redesigned Maxima. (Altima at… Continue reading All new Nissan Teana

New Holden Commodore coming up soon.
Tomorrow to be exact. And this time it will be coming to the US as the Chevrolet SS. As far as we know, we will only be getting the V8 version. With both Auto or manual available. This is what the real thing looks like. Not as jazzy and slick as the logo above of… Continue reading New Holden Commodore coming up soon.

Saab 9-3
Another picture of what could have been the “next” Saab 9-3. Not sure if this is some illustration based on the previous pics we have seen or not. But, except the front hood, it does match. Maybe a slightly different design idea? Who knows… It is interesting and quite sad to see models that will… Continue reading Saab 9-3

Chevrolet Cruze diesel.
Finally. GM has showed the production version of the Cruze diesel for the US. After teasing us for 2 years… And they priced it at $25 695. Which includes a 6 speed auto and leather interior. It is slightly more powerful than the Jetta diesel gets similar MPG ratings. Although in my experience with the… Continue reading Chevrolet Cruze diesel.

2014 Kia Forte 5 door
Looks like there is yet another good choice for a compact hatchback. In the US! The new Forte looks great and its interior has a great German feel to it. Engines available are a 2.0 Liter with 173HP. Or a 1.6 Liter Turbo with 201HP.

VW Beetle Convertible video
Just a short video I shot while driving up the coast last week.

Honda Civic Wagon coming soon.
In Europe that is. Where the Civic has its own hatchback design. We won’t be getting this wagon over here. In Europe it will be competing with a crowded segment which includes wagon versions of the Cruze and the Focus. As a reminder, her is what the “regular” Civic looks like in Europe. No sedan… Continue reading Honda Civic Wagon coming soon.

2014 BMW 3-series GT.
Just a few more pictures of the new 3-series hatchback. Engine choices should be the same as the sedan. The GT will be priced above the regular sedan. And, unlike the A5 Sportback, it is coming over here in just a few months.

BMW 3-series GT
It is now official . It is the 3 series-GT, not 4 series. And from these angles it does look pretty decent. Actually more interesting than the sedan.

2015 Mazda 6 coupe
This is just an illustration, but word has it Mazda is seriously considering a coupe version of the all new 6 sedan. Which would be very nice. It would compete here mainly with the Accord coupe, and the Altima coupe. If Nissan chooses to revive it with the new generation.

BMW 3 series GT
Or is it the 4 series GT? The little air vent behind the front wheel is similar to what they use on the new 4 series coupe. No matter what they call it, it will be a hatchback version of the 3 series. It does looks a bit better than the heavy handed 5 series… Continue reading BMW 3 series GT

Citroen DS X
I guess with the demise of the C6 sedan, Citroen is now after a different kind of market with their new top of the line model. More like a luxury Crossover than a luxury sedan. Which could be a good idea, since most luxury sedans that are not from Germany have been a flop in… Continue reading Citroen DS X

2014 Toyota Corolla
Finally a new Corolla. And from this pictures, it will look just fine. The current model is still one of the best selling cars. So this should be doing really well.

All new Citroen C4 Picasso
The Picasso is due for a redesign soon, and here it is. The 1st 2 generations were always really modern looking. But this seems to be a step back from what they offer now. Most of us have never seen one, so there it is: the current C4 Picasso. And it still looks really nice… Continue reading All new Citroen C4 Picasso

Better pictures of the Saab 9-3 that never was.
These are slightly better. But the design is still weird. Awkward from most angles. I really don’t think this would have saved Saab. It it was the final design. The last 9-5 looks great. I was lucky to sit in it before the company went under. But this is just not right…

Buick Regal GS test drive coming up…
My test car is equipped with the 20 inch wheels and the 6 speed manual. I will be driving it for a week so feel free to ask anything about it. So far: this is how direct injection should be done! The German made 270hp 2.0 L Turbo direct injected engine has none of the… Continue reading Buick Regal GS test drive coming up…

What could have been: Saab 9-3
Apparently, this is what the next Saab 9-3 was going to look like. It is not as good looking as some of the illustrations we saw a couple of years ago, before the brand went bankrupt. It is quite retro looking though. So it might have been able to find an audience. This is the… Continue reading What could have been: Saab 9-3
