Auto Show notes…
I guess this is Cadillac’s new naming convention for all their 2020 Models. Now this CT6 is called a CT6 800t. This is supposed to represent the torque number. But the CT6 doesn’t have 800lb-ft to torque at all. These new numbers represent “Newton meters” ratings. This is one of the most ridiculous thing I… Continue reading Auto Show notes…

2021 Jaguar F-Type
Gorgeous as usual. With small modifications for the new year, that don’t ruin anything. The interior is also almost the same. With, mainly, a larger screen. Engine choices include the 2.0 Liter Turbo with 296HP and a 5.0 Liter V8 with 444HP.

2021 Hyundai Santa Cruz .
Th stop photo is the actual production model. While the bottom one, is the familiar Concept from 2015. It looks like Hyundai is trying to stay as close to the concept as possible. Although it now has 4 full size doors. Besides all that camouflage, the new Hyundai pick up looks pretty much ready to… Continue reading 2021 Hyundai Santa Cruz .

Another picture of the new 2021 Genesis GV80
We have seen so many spy shots, illustrations etc… that is doesn’t really look all new. The front end is also almost the same as the revised 2020 G90 sedan. Still, this is the new Genesis brand’s most important model so far. Apparently 5 and 7 seat versions will be available. Which means this will… Continue reading Another picture of the new 2021 Genesis GV80

2021 Kia Sorento 3D illustrations
These are a mixed bag of “spot on” and “way off”. The c-pillar and rear side window shape do seem pretty close to the spy shots we have seen of the car. Including the rear lights. While the front end is way off and doesn’t match at all the recent picture I posted HERE. Plus,… Continue reading 2021 Kia Sorento 3D illustrations

2021 Genesis GV80
It looks like the lower cladding is covered. Or painted in a lighter color. Otherwise, this is it. The all new Genesis GV80. It will be available in RWD or AWD. 5 or 7 seater versions will be offered (Although not in all markets) And it will be quickly followed by the smaller GV70… More… Continue reading 2021 Genesis GV80

2020/21 Jaguar F-Type
While the jaguar F-Type is now 6 years old, I think it is still the best looking current Jaguar. After 6 years, we don’t get a new car. But a “facelift”. With an all new front and rear ends. Lights etc… Not sure about the interior yet. And I hear new engines are planned (Like… Continue reading 2020/21 Jaguar F-Type

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Video
Just something I shot a few days ago at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The car is very impressive in person. I think it does look good. And the interior is much more upscale than the Tesla Model 3. I hear the “first year only” First Edition version is already sold out. Which is good… Continue reading 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Video

2021 Kia Sorento
This is the first picture I have seen of the all new 2021 Sorento uncovered. Which, at least to me, looks like a cross between the new Ford Explorer and a Chinese SUV. So far at least… It seems very “chromy”, with a really big grille. Unlike the more modern and subtle look of the… Continue reading 2021 Kia Sorento

More pictures of the 2020 VW Golf
Fans of the Golf will love it. Since it looks like.. a Golf. One with a really nice a modern interior. Almost futuristic. (Looks like the new Golf is the only way to get an affordable VW with a modern interior these days…) Everywhere except the US that is. Since the new Golf will not… Continue reading More pictures of the 2020 VW Golf

2020 Geely Icon
I know it looks a bit weird. And has strange lines on the side. And a pretty busy interior. But somehow, I like it. I think this does have a cool modern personality. It is based on the BMA platform that accepts gas engines as well as Plug-in Hybrid powertrains. It is smaller than Volvo’s… Continue reading 2020 Geely Icon

More pictures of the 2020 VW Passat.
As I mentioned before, the more I see the 2020 Passat, the more I like it. I think VW did a good job updating the car. It is not all new but it actually looks more new than many “new” models from Audi or BMW. It has a classic look that actually last longer than… Continue reading More pictures of the 2020 VW Passat.

More pictures of the all new Kia Optima/K5
Again, this looks quite impressive for a “non-luxury” brand. Inside and out. The whole thing looks quite upscale. It looks like this is trying to be what the Telluride is to SUVs, in the sedan segment. Which is basically offer as much quality and content as more expensive luxury brands. This new Optima not only… Continue reading More pictures of the all new Kia Optima/K5

Auto Show notes: VW Atlas SportCross
I have to say, the new 5 seater version of the Atlas looks much better than the regular model. And since it is only a few inches shorter, there is tons of room inside. With a huge cargo area. But that interior is the same as the regular Atlas. The same interior that looked old… Continue reading Auto Show notes: VW Atlas SportCross

Auto Show notes: Which one is it???
We all know that all 4 Nissan sedans now look like pretty much the same car in different sizes. But look at this picture! No, they are NOT the same car. The one in the foreground is the new Versa. While the one behind is the all new Sentra. Really…

Auto Show notes: Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid trunk space
The top picture is the trunk of the new Hybrid version. As you can see, Subaru never intended for that platform to us all these batteries. And the trunk area is really compromised. Plus it costs over $35 000! For a tiny 17 miles of EV range… Not really sure who this is for in… Continue reading Auto Show notes: Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid trunk space

Auto Show notes: Porsche Taycan
I was disappointed to see that the rear design of the Porsche Taycan was trying too hard to look like a hatchback, without actually being one. It even uses the same “cheap”trick” as the all new Kia Optima. Where the part under the rear window is actually the top part of the truck, covered in… Continue reading Auto Show notes: Porsche Taycan

Another Cybertruck ?
There has been a lot of talk lately about the new Tesla Cybertruck. I am still not 100% of what to think of it myself. Which, I guess, is good. How often do we see such a weird design that actually takes us a while to digest. I do applaud the weirdness and compete new… Continue reading Another Cybertruck ?

New Hyundai LaFesta EV
The Lafesta is a Hyundai sedan that has been on sale in China for a while. It is sized in between the Sonata and Elantra. For 2020, Hyundai is introducing a pure electric version. With a 306 miles range. Which could be pretty impressive. (Even if the number would be a bit power in the… Continue reading New Hyundai LaFesta EV

Auto Show notes: Mini Cooper Electric
The electric version of the Mini Cooper does not get an all new interior. And it’s fine. The little oval screen behind the wheel looks great. And the cloth on the seats looks fantastic. So glad to see great looking seats without leather. Or “Leatherette” (Vinyl) I say bring back cloth! But no one on… Continue reading Auto Show notes: Mini Cooper Electric
