2022 Kia K7: no more Cadenza…
As you can see, the upcoming Kia K7 sedan will be a complete departure from the car it will replace: the Cadenza. While the current Cadenza is a nice looking car (and one that has been getting mostly great reviews), the next generation will adopt a much more European look. With a pretty sleek fastback… Continue reading 2022 Kia K7: no more Cadenza…

Honda Odyssey: a few revisions…
As you can see, this is not our version of the Honda Odyssey, but the one for the Japanese market. Which is smaller than the North American model. The revised one for 2021 is on top. It will not win any beauty contest, but still is an improvement over the previous ghastly grille. A few… Continue reading Honda Odyssey: a few revisions…

2022 Genesis GV70: more pictures
These are far from the best quality, but I thought I’d share them anyway. I think Genesis really did a good job. As far as we can see on these pictures… More on the new Genesis GV70 very soon.

All-new Genesis GV70: finally…
So far, I think this is not disappointing at all. And was well worth the wait. Even in that weird pink/rose color, the new Genesis SUV looks really good. Same thing inside. Again, even in that strange “not for everyone” purple interior. It looks like Genesis found a way to design an original yet… Continue reading All-new Genesis GV70: finally…

2022 Genesis G90: new photo
It seems there has been a non-stop flow of new models from Genesis lately. And more coming. As the flagship G90 sedan is getting an all-new design next year. The all-new model (top) looks like it could have a bit more personality than the current car. The most striking visual features of the current generation… Continue reading 2022 Genesis G90: new photo

2021 Jaguar E-Pace: small changes…
Just like the larger F-Pace and the XF sedan (XE as well in Europe) the compact E-Pace is getting a few changes for 2021. Nothing drastic, but enough to make it look a bit more refined and upscale. The 2021 model is the grey car. More changes inside. But nothing as drastic as the… Continue reading 2021 Jaguar E-Pace: small changes…

2022 Kia Sportage: new illustration
I think this one is way off. I also really hope it is… This would be much worse than the current generation. And also, much more conservative than the new Hyundai Tucson. So far, the Sportage has always been more modern looking than its Hyundai cousin. Again, let’s hope this is wrong…

1979 Honda Accord: Sold for $7700!
It seems the old 1978 Accord my post about the 2022 Honda Accord hatchback triggered a lot of nice memories for some people. So when I saw this 1979 model sold at an auction on “Bring a trailer”, I thought I would share it. The car is said to have only 59 000 miles (at… Continue reading 1979 Honda Accord: Sold for $7700!

2022 Mercedes C-Class: a smaller S-Class. Again…
In these new spy shots of the redesigned Mercedes C-Class sedan, the link with the new S-Class is quite obvious. Which actually gives the smaller model a more classic and upscale feel. Even though, just like with the new S-Class, the whole glass area seems very similar to the current model (2nd pic) The… Continue reading 2022 Mercedes C-Class: a smaller S-Class. Again…

2022 BMW M3 Touring: now with the giant Bugs Bunny grille.
Little by little, the new giant BMW grille is invading the 3 series. First introduced with the redesigned 4 series coupe and convertible. An even larger version of it came out for the new M3 and M4 versions. Now it appears on the upcoming wagon version of the M3. I really think BMW will try… Continue reading 2022 BMW M3 Touring: now with the giant Bugs Bunny grille.

2022 Honda Civic Hatchback: cleaning up the mess
When comparing the 2022 Honda Civic hatchback. (top) to the current model, it is obvious the new one will be a much cleaner, grown-up design. I guess Honda finally figured out the current generation was just “too much” for most buyers. The spoilers, the wings, black plastic trim everywhere, fake vents are all gone. Of… Continue reading 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback: cleaning up the mess

Cadillac CT4 V: test drive coming up…
Just got a new Cadillac CT4 V for a week. I have only driven it a little bit around town so far. But I will try to answer any questions you might have. So far, it is a very pleasant and fun to drive. The “Tour” mode is actually quite comfortable around town.

2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz: new spy shot
Apparently, the all-new Hyundai Santa Cruz pick-up will share a lot with the new 2021 Tucson Crossover. Which could make it the perfect small urban “non-truck” pick-up. Comparing both, it looks like the front doors could be very similar. But that’s about it. Other spy shots show a similar front end design as well.… Continue reading 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz: new spy shot

It’s the week-end: time to drive!
I filmed my drive down Highland Ave, through Hollywood, a few days ago. (Starting on Ventura Blvd in Studio City) You can see the video HERE. (Best on a 4K TV) My favorite part has to be driving by the wonderful Hollywood Bowl. (no music there these days, but a really cool place to vote!) … Continue reading It’s the week-end: time to drive!

2022 Lincoln Navigator: an even larger grille?
It looks like the Lincoln Navigator might be getting a new “larger grille/smaller headlights” combo for 2022. Which will make the big chromy SUV look even tackier than it currently is. The new Escalade must be making life really tough for the big Lincoln these days…

Buick Encore GX Test Drive
The all-new Buick Encore GX looks very nice in person, inside and out. Since it was designed a few years ago, it still has (at least to me) a bit of an Opel look to it (The previous Encore was sold in Europe as the Opel Mokka) The proportions are very nice, and it… Continue reading Buick Encore GX Test Drive

2022 Ford Evos: mule caught…
The pictures above show a test mule for the Ford Fusion/Mondeo replacement. It will be a tall AWD wagon, similar to the Subaru Outback. Which is actually a good idea. I think there is a market for a good looking AWD wagon to compete with the Outback. (Too bad GM didn’t really figure out… Continue reading 2022 Ford Evos: mule caught…

Fiat 500 3+1: that tiny 3rd door…
I have to admit I thought this was a stupid idea when I first saw spy photos a few weeks ago. But, as someone had mentioned in the comments, this is actually great. And super practical. The tiny rear suicide door is actually all you need to make access to the rear seat much… Continue reading Fiat 500 3+1: that tiny 3rd door…
