Something you don’t see every day…
Yet… Just saw this new Cadillac XTS being unloaded at some “GM Center” around L.A last week.Although I was only able to take this one picture, I saw the whole car.And it does look really nice in the flesh.

2013/14 Audi A3
We have already seen the new A3. As a 3 door hatchback. This is the new 5 door. A model we will be getting in the US, alongside the all new 4 door sedan. The usual Audi redesign: same but new.

VW Beetle Turbo. Day one
I thought I would report a few things on the Beetle I just got yesterday.I have 3 friends who own the previous “New” Beetle, and I was very familiar with that model. So it is a bit strange to drive something that feels familiar yet all new.Kind of like talking to a friend of yours after… Continue reading VW Beetle Turbo. VW Beetle test drive coming up
I always liked the Beetle. Old and new.And I was able to participate to a customer clinic for the all new convertible over 2 years ago. This week I finally get to actually drive one. And keep it for a whole week. The one I just got is a Turbo Automatic model. (Even though I… Continue reading VW Beetle test drive coming up

Ford Focus Electric test drive.
I must say this was a moment I will remember for a long time.My first time behind the wheel of a fully electric car.It felt kind of like watching color TV for the 1st time. It’s new and exciting, and you know it will be everywhere in few years. The design itself is familiar, almost… Continue reading Ford Focus Electric test drive.

All new 2013 Altima starts production
Nissan started production of the all new Altima today in Tennessee.Which also marks the 20th anniversary of the US built model. Nissan also mentioned their intention to beat the Camry as the number one selling car in the US. Toyota sold about 40 000 more Camrys last year. So it is possible for Nissan to… Continue reading All new 2013 Altima starts production

Chevrolet Trax
It looks like the Chevrolet version of the Buick Encore isn’t a total clone.Although proportions are the same, of course. Kind of like the GMC Terrain and the Chevrolet Equinox. But the Chevrolet won’t be coming to the US.Which is kind of weird. Since a small Chevrolet SUV makes much more sense than a tiny Buick. And… Continue reading Chevrolet Trax

2013 BMW 1 series 3 door
Another expected development: the 3 door version of the redesigned 1 series 5 door… And just like the 5 door, this hatchback isn’t coming over here. But if you imagine a trunk instead of the hatch, you can almost see the next 1 series coupe we’ll be getting here next year.Which will , by then, be… Continue reading 2013 BMW 1 series 3 door

new BMW 3 series Sports Wagon
As predictable as all other BMW wagons, but very nice looking nonetheless. The new wagon comes out in Europe at the end of this year. The good news is that it is coming to he US in the spring of 2013. For those of us who need a bit more room, but still enjoy driving…A much… Continue reading new BMW 3 series Sports Wagon

Buick Verano Test Drive.
The Verano is an interesting new idea for Buick. The idea is to offer the same “Buick qualities” in a smaller package. Mainly to attract a younger audience as well. It is based on the same architecture as the Chevrolet Cruze. But has a different engine and design. It is actually a “trunk added” version of… Continue reading Buick Verano Test Drive.

Greystone Mansion Concours d’Elegance
Just a few pictures from this amazing place.Which used to be the old Doheny mansion in Beverly Hills. Fantastic cars, old and new.

Cadillac ATS Pricing.
The new Compact Cadillac will start at $33 990.Not that cheap. Considering the base model comes with a 2.5 Liter engine with 200hp. Pretty much “Honda Accord specs” more than BMW. A more interesting option, (and closer to the new 3 series) is the $35 795 2.0 Liter turbo version with 270.The 2.0 Liter is… Continue reading Cadillac ATS Pricing.

New Cadillac XTS Commercial

3 generations of Audi A3
We never got the first one here in the US. But you can see how subtle the changes are from the 2nd to the 3rd one. Most people won’t even be able to tell. We will not be getting the 2 door hatch pictures here.Instead, the 4 door hatch will return to the US, and the… Continue reading 3 generations of Audi A3

Buick Verano test drive coming up
Driving a new Verano this week.An interesting idea. basically an Opel Astra with a trunk instead of a hatchback. And a larger 2.4 Liter engine. Does it translate into real luxury? As usual you are welcome to ask anything you would like to know about the car.

Kia K9
Now we have official pictures. And I think it does look really good.Especially when compared to the sea of boring German designs out there. And much better than the large Hyundai models like the Genesis or Equus. So far, the K9 will be available in Korea with 2 different engines, both V6. But it is coming… Continue reading Kia K9

Chinese Saabs.
Kind of…Chinese car maker BAIC aquired the rights to the 9.3 and previous 9.5 platforms from GM about 3 years ago. They quickly showed prototype cars which basically looked like Saabs with redesigned from end. But at this year’s Chinese auto show, they are showing what they claim are very close to production designs. The C70G… Continue reading Chinese Saabs.

2013 Renault Clio
Just a small teaser for now. But it already show a really modern looking design. From what we’ve seen in spy shots, the front end will look a lot like the new Zoe electric car, which is a good thing.I just saw the Zoe in person a few weeks ago, and it is quite a… Continue reading 2013 Renault Clio

Nissan Quest test drive
The Quest was never a popular option among Minivan buyers. And it seems to be a trend with the current design.I have only seen a couple on the road since they came out. While the redesigned Honda and Toyota Minivans are everywhere. For this one, Nissan took a more boxy approach. Also giving it a more… Continue reading Nissan Quest test drive
