• 2018 Honda Odyssey

A few things come to mind here. Like: – WTF? -What were they thinking? -Has Honda completely lost it? -Who designed this crap? -Why make it worse than before? -Was this designed in China? -Who authorized this? -Why am I looking at this? This is pretty terrible. I mean these weird wavy lines on the… Continue reading 2018 Honda Odyssey

  • 2018 Lexus LS

I have to say, this is a good surprise. The big Lexus sedan is finally getting a healthy dose of style. Its own style. Not trying to look like a big German sedan anymore. Which is great news. The interior is also very original. I mean compare this to the total lack of style from… Continue reading 2018 Lexus LS

  • 2018 Chrysler 300???

Not really sure. But I haven’t seen this interior before. And I do see that Chrysler logo on the steering wheel. As well as the analog clock. But it isn’t the “dead” Chrysler 200. And not the Pacifica either. Chrysler has nothing coming up. Except a small refresh to the 300. (An all new one… Continue reading 2018 Chrysler 300???

  • 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport

I was right about the name (They did end up calling it the Rogue Sport in the US). But not about it being a facelift version of the European version. They left it pretty much the same. The main change I can see is not a good one. The really cool glass roof option has… Continue reading 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport

  • 2018 VW Tiguan

Tiguan grows for the US.  Our version is over 10 inches longer than the current model. ( A shorter one is still available in Europe) The only engine available is the 2.0 Liter Turbo. But not the more powerful version available in other VW models. ( I Mean they usually now squeeze about, or over,… Continue reading 2018 VW Tiguan

  • 2018 GMC Terrain

Looking much nicer than the current (and so old) version. At least it looks less like a brick on wheels. GMC is going for a much more sophisticated look. Which is good news. Although that Denali grille is pretty horrible. And look! It folds all flat back there. So this makes a great car to… Continue reading 2018 GMC Terrain

  • 2018 Chevrolet Traverse

Finally, after all these years, the Traverse gets a new design. Nothing earth shattering, but it does look more modern. Actually feels like a cross between the new Equinox and the Suburban. Which, I guess, it is in size. A 3.6 Liter V6 is still available. Now with a 9 speed auto. And the “sportier”… Continue reading 2018 Chevrolet Traverse

  • Kia Stinger GT

    – RWD – 3.3 Liter V6 with 365HP – 8 speed auto So far, this looks pretty amazing. Not sure about the size yet. It’s hard to tell, but I’d guess it wants to compete with the BMW 5 series, E-class or Lexus GS. This should be quite interesting. More very soon…

  • 2018 Ford F-150

I am really not a pick-ip truck person, so this will be quick. This is just the obligatory mid-cycle refresh for Ford’s big truck. A new grille, and new engines. More Turbo V6 models. And even an all new Diesel.  Inside, more tech. Screens. Etc… The super cheesy fake wood trim on the door is… Continue reading 2018 Ford F-150

  • 2018 GMC Terrain

Looks like GMC is finally dumping that heavy/macho look. Which is good news. This looks really nice. This is the GMC cousin of the new Chevrolet Equinox. So it will be powered by the new 1.5 Liter Turbo or the larger 2.0 Liter Turbo. This is one of the largest market in the US right… Continue reading 2018 GMC Terrain

  • GAC GS8 and GS7

Chinese company GAC will show a few things at the Detroit Auto Show. Reviving rumors they might enter the US market (We’ve all heard that before) This time, they are bringing over, among other things, a couple of SUVs. Which could actually sell fairly well in the US. The first one is the rather large… Continue reading GAC GS8 and GS7

  • 2017 Kia Picanto

This is the official stuff. I guess, this must be some “sporty” version. You know, red. (That is supposed to mean “sport”) It is a nice looking tiny car. The wheelbase is slightly longer than the previous version. While the overall size is the same. The interior seems to be pretty stylish for the price… Continue reading 2017 Kia Picanto

  • 2018 Rolls Royce Phantom

Hard to really seen an all new design here. I remember, back in the “old days”, when a new Rolls liked new. Nothing like the one before. This looks like a copy of the current model. Which came out in 2003. I remember not liking it at all when it came out. It looked more… Continue reading 2018 Rolls Royce Phantom

  • 2018 Volvo XC60

These are pretty puzzling. Since they look so real. And I haven’t seen any official pictures yet. It is also rare to see 3 different views as illustrations. Whether it is real or not, it is super realistic. And I think the real thing will pretty much look like this. It seems like a cross… Continue reading 2018 Volvo XC60

  • Chrysler Portal Concept

This does look quite nice. And is a bit of a surprise. Since Chrysler/Fiat was widely expected to show a production EV version of the new Pacifica Minivan. Instead, we are getting a really good looking concept. Which doesn’t’ really bring anything crazy to the table. Since it’s range is about 250 miles. Nothing futuristic.… Continue reading Chrysler Portal Concept
