• 2006 Auto Show wishes

What do you really want to see at the 2006 Detroit Auto Show? Or the Los Angeles one…Anything that would really make you want to actually be there???Is there anything coming up you would actually consider buying? I personally can’t wait for the Camaro Concept. Hoping that the production could be as close to it… Continue reading 2006 Auto Show wishes

  • New Camry?

No, no. This is NOT the new Camry. It is the Japanese market Mark X. But from that angle, it does look pretty close, doesn’t it? This would actually make a great new Lexus ES. But the 2007 ES is still based on the Camry. For the last time.So maybe the next Mark X will end… Continue reading New Camry?

  • 2007 Toyota Camry

These new pictures ( from Toyotanation) are the next best thing to official shots.Looks like it was cought as it was getting ready for a photo shoot. I think it looks great. Nothing futuristic, but it seems they have stretched the design as much as they can without becoming “weird”, and disturbing the current owners.Sure… Continue reading 2007 Toyota Camry

  • 2007 Toyota Camry

This picture was taken at the US factory, where the new Camry was shown to some of the employees for one day only. You can’t tell much from it. Sorry… But some of the people there mentioned something I thought was a little interesting:“Machining “It’s tight. I love the ground effects.”” He ground effects make it… Continue reading 2007 Toyota Camry

  • More Escalade!

These new shots almost make it look classy. The interior especially. Doors and console are still from the Tahoe. They haven’t gone as far as Ford with Lincoln. And when you look towards the back seat, or the top of the doors, you can really see the pick up truck roots of this “luxury” SUV… Again, not… Continue reading More Escalade!

  • 2006 Honda Civic

The future is now… In Europe only… Doens’t it look like a crazy auto show concept? To actually produce such a modern design in an affordable car is amazing. I still think they should have used this for our Civic Hybrid. And this interior, although similar, looks so much better.Corollas, Golfs, Mazda 3s all have the… Continue reading 2006 Honda Civic

  • 2007 Mercedes GL Class

Not really replacing the old G Class, this is Mercedes version of the big SUV.It is actually an inch longer than the Escalade! But not as wide and about 5 inches shorter. Based on the same frame as the new R and ML Classes, and built in the USA. So you can expect similar engines. Maybe… Continue reading 2007 Mercedes GL Class

  • Scion xA Speedster

A pure concept, of course. But still pretty nice. Even without the crazy stuff added on there like the 2000 TV screens etc…It would be pretty cool to see something like that, or close to it, actually produced. Not a totally original idea. This similar Smart Crossblade concept was shown a few years ago…

  • 2007 Cadillac Escalade

All you can see during this glitsy official introduction is how big and shiny that thing is.And that’s about it. Not mentioning how dangerous it is for others sharing the road as well.

  • Anteros XTM

A small Californian company showed this stunning car at SEMA. It looks like a retro Italian design. As you can see from the interior, it is based on the Corvette. Just like back in the 70’s when the Corvette was used as a base for quite a few original looking cars. But this one is actually hard… Continue reading Anteros XTM

  • True World Car

Looks like these 2 (seemingly) Japanese guys are testing the British 2007 Land Rover Freelander in Arizona. The whole thing being done under Ford’s watch.A small world…

  • More Santa Fe

Is it me, or it looks better and better with each picture. I think Hyundai will have a pretty amazing line up in a few months.Almost every model will be new by next year.

  • More Escalade

If you look closely, you can tell the interior is actually the same as the Tahoe. Only the dash has been redesigned…

  • 2007 Escalade

Not that great, is it ….The interior is different than the Tahoe. But it doen’t actually look better, or even more expensive. But pimps and gansters don’t really care about that.22 inch chrome wheels and a bigger engine than anyone else on the block is what counts. The usual monster specs: – Over 400 hp… Continue reading 2007 Escalade

  • 2007 Saturn Sky

Talking about the Solstice made me think about the Sky. Another super good looking car from GM. It might even be more striking than the Pontiac. It really looks like a show car. A smaller Corvette. Here is proof that a great design looks good in any color. This car might actually be the first cool… Continue reading 2007 Saturn Sky

  • V8 Pontiac Solstice

Car aftermarket wiz Mallett is offering a 400hp V8 engine in the Solstice for $38 000.You can even get a Turbo as an option. I love the Solstice, but I can’t see where I could drive a V8 compact car in the US…. I haven’t seen one Solstice yet!Not on the road anyway. Has anyone… Continue reading V8 Pontiac Solstice

  • 2007 Escalade Interior

A slighty better view of the new Escalade new dashboard. At least, it looks like it is its own design. That’s a god move towards making the Escalade a “real” Cadillac. Instead of a “tahoe with chrome”.But from what I’ve seen of the exterior, that might be about it. Sure the front looks more like the… Continue reading 2007 Escalade Interior

  • 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe Interior

It reminds me of these older BMW dashboard designs. With that “angled towards the driver” console. It was great then, and it is still a great idea now. Unfortunately for BMW, they’ve since decided a flat dash somehow made more sense… Good for Hyundai.

  • 2007 Toyota Yaris

The Echo is dead, long live the Yaris. Available as a 3 a 5 door hatchback pretty much anywhere else around the world, except.. You guessed it: the US market. We’ll get the 3 door and this super conservative mini Corolla looking 4 door sedan. And that’s too bad. Maybe they’ll do what Ford did… Continue reading 2007 Toyota Yaris
