Renault Talisman Estate VS other wagons we don’t get.
Renault unveiled the wagon version of their all new Talisman sedan yesterday. And it looks really good. The Talisman is more upscale, but also more conservative than other large Renault cars from the past. It has been called the “French Passat” already. So it might actually turn out to be more popular now. (Since most… Continue reading Renault Talisman Estate VS other wagons we don’t get.

All new Kia Sportage
These are, finally, the 1st official picture of the all new Sportage. Looking good. More brown o, I guess. (probably more expensive too) the worst part is still the super busy front end. And these LED lights do look horrible…

2017 VW Tiguan?
This looks like it could be. As it seems a bit small for that “upcoming” (whenever that is) production version of the US Crossblue concept. This seems much shorter. And I hear an all new Tiguan is just around the corner (finally) Not much to look at. And I bet it won’t look much better… Continue reading 2017 VW Tiguan?

Mercedes S-Class Cabrio
First official picture. A convertible version of the S-Class for the 1st time in 44 years. It won’t be cheap, but it’ll be great (If you skip that red color interior…)

2017 Kia Sportage
Just a few more pictures before it becomes official. Still, I really like the current design and I will miss it. Especially the very distinctive chrome by the C-pillar. Now it is more generic. A bit more muscular and grown up maybe. But basically a diluted version of the current excellent design. With a weird… Continue reading 2017 Kia Sportage

More pix of the new 2017 Kia Sportage
That front end is still pretty bad. Even on this cheaper model (no LEDs) It still looks too busy. And that grille just does not belong there… The side looks like a more muscular version of the current design. And the interior seems nice. But quite uninspired. Since it is based on the same platform… Continue reading More pix of the new 2017 Kia Sportage

2017 Hyundai Elantra
I’d say so far so good. Sure, it looks a lot (a lot!!!) like the current one. But it doesn’t look worse or more boring (Like the new Sonata does to me) The current Elantra really is one of the bet looking car in its class. The design aged really well. This new one at… Continue reading 2017 Hyundai Elantra

2016/17 Kia Sportage
Looks like these 3D renderings I posted a while ago were the real thing after all. Too bad…. It now looks much less original than the current model. The front end especially, is way too busy. Just like the new Optima, the previous one was much nicer looking.

Mercedes S-Class cabriolet
This is something I cannot wait to see. Not because I am thinking of getting one (not right away at least…) But because it should end up being one of the best looking convertible available. The S-Class coupe is quite stunning in person already. ( I actually saw one last week driven by John Hamm)… Continue reading Mercedes S-Class cabriolet

2017 Ford Fusion
Looks like the revised Fusion for 2017 has leaked early, on Twitter. (Top picture. Bottom is the current model) And it does look really good. I don’t think it ruins the already great looking Fusion at all. Honda designers could learn a lot (A LOT) from this. After seeing horribly redesigned front ends from Honda… Continue reading 2017 Ford Fusion

2016 Lexus GS
I am actually not really sure what to think of this. In a way, that new oversized grille does add some personality to the super boring design. But, it also seems out of place with the rest of the car. Just like it does on most other Lexus models. (It could be better with the… Continue reading 2016 Lexus GS

2017 Mercedes C-Class coupe
Finally, after all these spy shots over the years. the real thing! It does look great. Like a cross between the stunning S Class coupe and the “old” C class coupe. But… I cannot help but being a tiny bit disappointed. I know I am being very picky (especially after seeing such horrific recent designs… Continue reading 2017 Mercedes C-Class coupe

Honda S660 in the US???
Now it looks like Honda is actually considering the al new S660 roadster for the US. Even thought they said “no way” just a few weeks ago when it came out in Japan. They had even mentioned a slightly larger “export” version with a 1000CC engine. So which is it? Who knows? I really like… Continue reading Honda S660 in the US???

Hyundai Vision G Concept Coupe
Besides the stupid name, this is actually quite stunning. And quite amazing for a Hyundai. I think this is the 1st Hyundai design that truly looks like a luxury model to me. It even has a British car feel to it. Almost old fashion. Quite surprising. There was a rumor last year about the next… Continue reading Hyundai Vision G Concept Coupe

2017 Hyundai Elantra
The current Elantra (bottom pic) still looks great. Actually much better than even its more recent competition. If there is one car that doesn’t really need a redesign, this is it. Still, the unstoppable redesign schedule rules all. And what we have here (top pic) seems pretty ridiculous to me. It looks like Hyujndai is… Continue reading 2017 Hyundai Elantra

2016 Honda Accord Coupe
Another day, another car gets uglier. No surprises here really, since we saw the revised (uglified) sedan version a few days ago. The 2016 is the blue one on top. And, again, it makes the current model look really classy. (Which it isn’t, really) The current design, which wasn’t fantastic to begin with, now looks… Continue reading 2016 Honda Accord Coupe

2016 Lexus LX
Basically, someone suggested to just “make it way uglier”. And they did it. It doesn’t look all new. More like an expensive facelift. Like they did with the Camry last year. Although it seems that most of the sheet metal is new or revised. Interior is new. So this will be around for a few… Continue reading 2016 Lexus LX

Mazda Koeru Concept
Mazda will introduce this all new concept next month, apparently. Most people agree that it will be a preview of the redesigned CX-9, which would be logical. Since the big crossover is next. Problem is, THIS is the next CX-9. Look at that. Of course the sketch is exaggerated. And the concept itself will be… Continue reading Mazda Koeru Concept

Chevrolet Silverado Test Drive
Last year, I test drove the 4 door version of this truck. It was a loaded “High Country” model, costing over $52 000. This one, a “1500 2WD” starts at a much more reasonable (And more “truck like”) $26 000. Mine had a few options, like a Spray On bed liner, 4.2 Inch color screen,… Continue reading Chevrolet Silverado Test Drive
