2016 Jetta gets new 1.4 Liter Turbo as base engine
VW has finally brought the base Jetta into the 21st Century by getting rid of the old 2.0 Liter engine with its 115HP. This new one has 150HP. And gets 39MPG with the 6 speed auto. (An “old” 5 speed manual is still available) This engine is now offered in the base model as well… Continue reading 2016 Jetta gets new 1.4 Liter Turbo as base engine

2016/17 Lexus SC
There is an all new LS sedan coming out. Really soon. And it will be joined later any an all new SC coupe. Just like previous versions, the coupe won’t look like a 2 door version of the sedan. This time it will pretty much be a production version of the gorgeous LF- LC concept… Continue reading 2016/17 Lexus SC

2016 Honda Accord
The Accord gets a slight restyle for the new year. (Which means an all new one is about 2 years away) Not sure what version is pictured here, but it sure does NOT look like an improvement. I mean, look at the chrome on that grille. Ugly side skirts, dark wheels etc…(This must be some “sport”… Continue reading 2016 Honda Accord

2016 Kia Sportage
Here is a new picture of a Sportage prototype (caught in Europe) I am trying to compare it to one of the pictures I posted a couple of days ago. (I was really hoping for these to be fake.) And they do look really close. But still fake to me. Or not? What do you… Continue reading 2016 Kia Sportage

2016 Infiniti Q30
Finally, the real thing. Looking almost exactly like the concept. It is basically a Mercedes A Class with an Infiniti design and interior. Which is not bad. As it does look really good. Much better than the A Class, I think. There will be a crossover QX30 version which will, of course, compete with its… Continue reading 2016 Infiniti Q30

2016 Kia Sportage
I drove the current model for a week a few years ago and was actually pretty impressed. Plus, it looked really good. And pretty original compared to most of its competition. ( I think it still looks great) This “next” one is basically a new design on the same theme. Just like what they did… Continue reading 2016 Kia Sportage

2017 Lexus LS???
This was sent to me from Europe. Suposed to be some upcoming Lexus models. But I can’t really see which one. It almost looks like a hatchback. But also seems RWD. Maybe the next CT? I also think the car on the bottom could be the next LS. But that other one on top is… Continue reading 2017 Lexus LS???

2017 Lexus LS?
Not sure actually. This looks really close to the current model. (Silver car on the bottom) But it also looks a bit different. So it could be the new one. Who knows…. An all new LS Sedan is due out in October. That we know. We also know it will be based on an all… Continue reading 2017 Lexus LS?

Nissan Qashqai coming to the US.
Weird unexpected news… The “smaller than Rogue” will be sold in the US for 2016. It is about 10 inches shorter, and of course, only seats 5 (The Rogue does have a 3rd row option) But, after seeing a few in Europe, it does look sportier than the Rogue. At first they almost look the… Continue reading Nissan Qashqai coming to the US.

2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport
This is pretty much the newest generation of what was sold here as the Montero Sport. Up until 2004. Mitsubishi seems to be abandoning the sedan market. At least in the US. To concentrate on SUVs and EVs. (What a weird combo) So this could very well make it over here. Just like the old… Continue reading 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport

2016 Chevrolet Silverado
In that version, the new front end looks more subtle than ever. Well, maybe not ever. But at least the last 15 years, where grilles have been getting bigger and bigger with every redesign. The main other news is the new 8 speed automatic. And Apple car play or Android Auto inside. I am not… Continue reading 2016 Chevrolet Silverado

2016 Lexus ES
No big news. The Lexus ES is another car many people love to hate. Although it sells very well. (Over 72 000 units last year. ) That’s because it does its job very well. And this little update really makes the car look better. The grille finally works. They have finally figured out about how… Continue reading 2016 Lexus ES

2016 Toyota Prius?
Not sure. Although it does match all the spy shots we have already seen of the car. Lots (and lots) of people love to hate the Prius design. I don’t. I think the current model looks OK. ( with over 120 000 sold in the US last year, I am not the only one). I… Continue reading 2016 Toyota Prius?

2016 Renault Talisman
The all new Talisman replaces the Laguna sedan. A new name, for what looks to be a more upscale model. It almost looks German.

2016 Fiat 500
Finally, official pictures. Only current owners will be able to tell the difference. Very small changes and updates. Engine choices should even be the same as before.

2016 Fiat 500
Here is the best pic of the interior so far. Not an “all new; interior. (The doors look the same) But the dash has a new screen etc… I guess this might be enough for 2 to 3 years, until a real all new model comes out…

2016 Chevrolet Camaro convertible video
OK, first, make sure you turn down the sound. Way down. As the soundtrack on this video is horrible. (And I mean, horrible!) But the car! The car in that color looks pretty amazing. The interior seems far ahead of the new Mustang as well. Not sure how much more the new Camaro will be,… Continue reading 2016 Chevrolet Camaro convertible video

2016 Audi A4 interior video
I must admit, this alone almost changes my mind about the interior. The quality looks amazing. And that dark matte wood finish is pretty wonderful.. Was I wrong earlier about this??? I mean, the exterior is still quite insulting to anyone expecting an actual new model. Right? But that interior…….. What do you think?

2016 Audi A4: Why???
Yes, why. Why bother redesigning a car to make it look exactly the same? Why not just “improve” the current one? Why ruining the interior? Why a 1996 design for a 2016 model? I understand the “classic”, “understated” excuses. But understated doesn’t mean you copy the same design over and over. This becomes one of… Continue reading 2016 Audi A4: Why???
