2012 Ford B-Max?
It seems like Ford is getting the small Fiesta based B Max ready to start production sometime in 2011. I’d say chances of getting it over here are pretty slim. We are already not getting the new C-Max.The one we’re getting here is the bigger (and uglier) Grand C-Max.So the even smaller B-Max will probably… Continue reading 2012 Ford B-Max?

Mini-er Mini?
Mini is working on an even smaller car.It kind of make sense. When you see the current mini next to the original, the new one looks huge. So there is room to shrink. The new model would compete with the Smart and Toyota/Scion iQ, so it might not even seat four.

What could have been: 1970’s Oldsmobile Toronado
These are pictures of a proposal for the 2nd generation Toronado. The original, produced from 1966 to 1970 was quite a stunning looking car.The design pictured above looks actually insane.More like a movie prop for a 1960’s Batman movie than a real car. But it does show how far out of the box GM designers… Continue reading What could have been: 1970’s Oldsmobile Toronado

Mazda 6 V6 Grand Touring Test Drive
-HOW IT LOOKS. There is no doubt, the Mazda6 is one of the best look midsized sedan available in our market. Although since it came out, we have seen an all new Sonata, and a new Malibu and Kia Optima are on their way.Competition will be even tougher. It is still a much nicer design… Continue reading Mazda 6 V6 Grand Touring Test Drive

2011 Toyota Highlander
The front as almost all new, but that might be the biggest news for the revised Highlander.Don’t expect a new interior, or new engines. The Highlander has always been one of the most invisible car on the road, and the 2nd generation didn’t do anything to change that. The Camry of SUVs now lives in… Continue reading 2011 Toyota Highlander

Next Porsche 911 Illustration
This would look great, just the way it is.Keeping the traditional 911 lines and making the whole thing look almost futuristic at the same time. Not that I am in the market for one, but it would be great to see these in the streets.

2011 VW New Mid Sized sedan
Still just an illustration. But it seems a good bet, considering spy shots and the official sketch from VW. I guess they won’t try anything new. Maybe try to attract the masses with a subtle classy design. It might just work…

Peugeot 508
This is what it looks like in the streets.Already invisible and quite boring.. But the worse thing is, the trunk that is not even protected by the bumper. That bumper doesn’t seem to be sticking out at all, protecting nothing. I have seen this in some SUVs before, like the CRV, but never on an upscale… Continue reading Peugeot 508

2012 Buick Verano
These pictures are of the Chinese version, called the Excelle. But the US model will be called the Verano. It is, as mentioned before, basically a sedan version of the German Opel Astra. With the same interior. Engine choices in China include a 145 hp version of the 1.8 Liter offered here on the Cruze.Or a… Continue reading 2012 Buick Verano

2011/12 Honda Fit Hybrid
Honda has been working on a hybrid version of the Fit for a while. These pictures were sent to me by a reader. They could be the real thing, or not… Not sure how the Hybrid version will cohabit with the Insight. A hybrid Fit would be more expensive than the regular version and therefore… Continue reading 2011/12 Honda Fit Hybrid

What could have been: 1970’s Cadillac Eldorado
As you can see on these pictures, the Eldorado came close to be even more extroverted than what it ended up being in the 70’s.The black and whit sketch from Chuck Jordan himself (2nd from top) looks pretty crazy, almost like something out of a science fiction movie. And it looks like, at least at some… Continue reading What could have been: 1970’s Cadillac Eldorado

2012 VW Beetle
There is now a rumor about the all new Beetle being shown at the Detroit auto show in January. We’ll see. I know a few things about the US version: -We are getting the 2.5 Liter with 170hp. Maybe the 2.0 Liter Turbo as an option.-A hybrid comes later, and they are working on an all… Continue reading 2012 VW Beetle

2012 Jaguar XE?
Just another illustration. But Jaguar has already confirmed a smaller convertible, possibly competing with the Porsche Boxter. This looks more like a 4 seater. And more luxurious. Maybe competing more with convertibles from Infiniti and Lexus. We’ll see.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe test drive
-HOW IT LOOKS: I think the Genesis coupe is a great looking car, period.Sure, it doesn’t have the visual heritage of the Camaro, or the Mustang. But it is a truly modern design that does get noticed. It has a strong presence on the road and looks great from every angle. I even really like the… Continue reading Hyundai Genesis Coupe test drive

2011 Land Rover LR2
Just a few small changes for the new year. You can see most of them on the picture. The big news is the newly available FWD model, but that will not be coming to the US.Interior will not be all new either. And doesn’t look nearly as good as the new LR3 interior introduced last year. Here is… Continue reading 2011 Land Rover LR2

Unlike the current model, the next generation hatchback version of the Accent will be available with 5 doors. At least in some markets. Looks like a straight hatchback version, with few surprises. Here is the sedan version of the next Accent.Every Hyundai sedan now looks like a smaller version of the new Sonata. Which is OK I… Continue reading 2011/12 Hyundai Accent hatchback

2011 Chevrolet Orlando
These are the most revealing pictures so far, of the Cruze based wagon/crossover.Except for some tape around the headlights, this is pretty much it. And GM has already announced the US won’t get it.Instead, the HHR lives on. For now. The poor HHR really needs a bit of an update. How about a modern 6… Continue reading 2011 Chevrolet Orlando
